Manchester United's Fabio Da Silva set for Cardiff City switch

Manchester United's Fabio Da Silva is set to join Premier League strugglers Cardiff City.

The 23-year-old Brazil international has scored three times in 56 appearances since joining United from Fluminese in July 2008.

He has made one league appearance since ending a loan spell at QPR last May.

Fabio, who can play full-back or midfield and is twin brothers with United's Rafael, is due to have a medical at Cardiff on Sunday.

He will strengthen a Cardiff team, who are managed by former United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and sit bottom of the table, one point from safety.

Cardiff, who visit United on Tuesday, are also set to sign Stoke striker Kenwyne Jones with Peter Odemwingie moving in the opposite direction as part of a swap deal.

Unless somehow Buttner can improve his defensive side of his game else looks like a new LB will be on the way this windows or summer I guess?

QUOTE
Sky sources understand Wilfried Zaha and Kenwyne Jones are at St George's Park for medicals ahead of their proposed moves to Cardiff City.

It is understood that England Under-21 winger Zaha will join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side on loan for the remainder of the season for a fee in the region of £1.5million.

The 21-year-old has been restricted to just four appearances for United this season, one of which came in the Community Shield win over Wigan.

A move to south Wales would allow the former Crystal Palace man some much needed regular first-team action.

With Theo Walcott ruled out of the World Cup later this year, Zaha will no doubt hope to catch the eye of England manager Roy Hodgson during his loan spell at Cardiff.

I love buttner's enthusiasm but his defensive side of the game is poor unless DM can work some magic and help buttner improve, i dont see him having a future at united. Buying a good LB in the summer would be great.

Actually i think even at RB we need a cover as well. If rafa gets injured then we dont have a decent cover, watching smalling at RB is painful

What I'm waiting to see is, if Moyes knows how to exploit Mata's abilities. Look at Kagawa, he doesn't know how to use him well.

He didn't. But if he was still the manager, he would have sold Rooney to get the best out of Kagawa, since Strootman was already on his way.

Ramsey is our fan, Smalling supported Arsenal...so it wont really matter if we are willing to pay the money
