only 2014? so meaning to say that 2015 vios is already overcome the rain sounds on the roof problem?
*
Not too sure but usually first batch cars are the problem and they should fix it for new batches.
At least, thats what i think la

Argh crap. i'm really getting forward of getting the 2015 vios. will sound proofing void the warranty?

How is vios's maintenance cost compared to city? thanks in advance.

sound proof is a plug-and-play approach, no issue with warranty.

as for maintenance, it depends if the manufacture provide free service on parts and labour or not.

using Petron97 now, 12.1km/l.
full tank can go 470-480km
Shell quite eat petrol imo.
Bhp and caltex worst.
The best are petron and petronas for me.
*
Currently on Shell and it's cost me 320km for full tank :/ maybe I should try on Petronas

Sound proofing wont affect the warranty of your car. You dont mess with car electronics and stuff.
Genuinely, I feel Toyota maintenance is reasonable(altho labour cost is shitty lol) compared to Honda. Honda itself sounds expensive :|

Sound proofing your doors alone can be around RM250-RM400?
If the whole car, I'd take a rough guess towards... RM800? RM1000?
Because the do the whole roof, floor of car, engine area and boot.

Same same same! I put Shell, it last for about 350km.When I put petron, it would go up to 400-420km.

Petronas petrol very dirty lah. I'd suggest Petron. Some would say BHP also good because the petrol quality or type. Not too sure on this.

from my experience:

Whole Car:
1. 4 doors: ~RM700
2. Roof: ~RM600
3. Floor + car boot: ~RM1700
4. Engine upper firewall: -RM300

that's around the price, excluding wheel arch; which would cost another ~RM600 for 4 wheels.

Above price is based on what i paid before on my Vios, except the roof which is yet to done.

of course, you can check the market price from Welgan of GA Auto Soundworks.

their FB: https://www.facebook.com/GaAutoSoundworksAccessoriesEnt

Tell him Ethan recommend, might get better price. Pls take note i don't take any commission from Welgan as i only recommend friends on his good price and workmanship.

Thanks for the heads up! Been using Shell for years, and it's time to try on Petron, but the tough part is hard to get Petron around my house and working area..

Hi Guys,

Vios 2014 owner here since last July.

I just found out that my radio antenna got stolen mad.gif

Should I be going to the service center to get a new one or can I get it from a car accessory shop?

Also, will there be an issue if I super glue the antenna?

Seriously, the bloody thief also interested with the antenna?!! I think you can get it at car accessory shop, but it's not advisable to glue it cause you might need to unscrew it and change a new one

Since it's already gone, I'd suggest that you use the sharkfin antenna smile.gif
