many ppl being mislead with those camera manufacturer that playing the psychology with more megapixel mean better photos quality.

in actual, it does not mean so, unless you are a person that always want to crop the photo you take or you want to print a photo at the actual size of that large megapixel you take.

if you view a photo on a Full HD monitor which hv the maximum resolution of 1080 x 1920, a 2MP photo already more than the monitor can show at 100%.
so, even you view a 16MP photo on a Full HD monitor, you still have the same quality as viewing a 2MP photo.
As that is the max the monitor can display.
Unless you have the Ultra HD with 4K resolution of 2160 x 3840 then maybe you need at least 10MP to fully utilize the screen.

stormlcc also mentioned that the size is the main concern with more megapixel. the more megapixel you have with your camera, the bigger the file size.
the bigger the file size mean bigger storage you need and the more time you need to load the photo.

why waste storage, loading time for more megapixel photo that you mostly will only view on yr HP or even on yr TV or PC monitor that is only Full HD size?
*
There's different type of larger file size. It can be larger megapixel, it could be file format, compression rate. Photos with same megapixel can varies in file size due to file format and compression rate. Megapixel does little help, it's the compression rate, dynamic range, file format that's matter.

Well said.

Personally I would prefer modern day phones to feature lesser megapixels as theoretical it would mean better light sensitivity as individual pixels would have higher surface area exposed to light transmission. This theoretically also translates to higher dynamic range and lower noise.

Anyhow, I don't use my phone for capturing anything serious as I have another system for that. But I would say that the Nexus 5's camera is decent smile.gif

Just try to reinterpret your words. biggrin.gif
Prefer sensor size over megapixel.
Lumia 1020 had significantly larger sensor than average smartphone, then DC, DSLR, full frame, medium format blah blah blah . . . .

hmmm~~I always use greenify since I use android.

the guide says no hibernators??
*
Before I use greenify and snapdragon battery guru, I dont like hibernators/app killer thing also. You kill the apps, it come back later, so it does drain more battery.
So I did an experiment, uninstall battery guru, guess what, my battery drop nearly 50% overnight, awake by batt low warning. shocking.gif

I don understand the relation between pricing and a better camera algo n user interface.

AFAIK apple develops IOS google develops ANDROID.
*
Apple build iOS to sell product ( phone tablet ). Afraid Google build Android to help with their business and services. See their effort into Google Maps, Google Now, integrate their service into Android. Camera or photo serve little part in their business/services, hence why they only started focus on camera after few generation of Nexuses been blast for poor camera capability.

although I do not need USB or fast charging. I just do a testing and feedback. I'm not sure is kernel issue or what. I got the same thing via my regular USB port from lappy, only USB charging show even I enable fast charge.

googling some feedback, mostly said:"The cable can make big difference..." after they testing several different USB cable. I gonna try to search any shorter cable to test tonight.....

so for now the conclusion is cable??im using their stock cable><
*
Cable does make differences. I had this cable Practical Meter which is fast charging USB cable. It had build in chip for high voltage output to your devices. I use it on power bank or normal USB port, charge as in AC mode.

Careful with iPhone and cheap cable. My ex boss melt his powerbank cable while charging in meeting, lucky didnt hurt his iPhone.

Decided to try out ElementalX kernel, on latest 0.24
Want to ask, whether Trickster MOD kernel apps compatible with ElementalX or not ? Does these two conflict each other on say governor, freq, voltage ?

On second thoughts, if both the liquipel shock absorbing and water-resistant layers work as they advertised, there won't be any need for phone cases anymore  hmm.gif
*
If it's as per advertised, yeah. Could use my N5 barebone without worry rclxms.gif

Wow didn't know about the shock absorb on liquipel.. saw the waterproof though at last year CES 2013.

Definitely interested to what the company can offer more in the future.
*
If they were smart and brave enough, corporate with Apple and Samsung, make their product water proof, we could enjoy scratch proof and water proof product, wins rclxms.gif

I won't call that being smart biggrin.gif. More like a suicide move. haha. Also if any of the big companies would offer this with thr phones, price will be increased. Since this tech is still new they will charge us end consumers a lot and pay likeee sheettt to Liquipel guys since they're new. Yeah business world is a b**** biggrin.gif
*
That's why need to be large manufacturer, they often order in large bulk hence can lower price of each product. Cost of my case + sp for water proof capability with manufacturer's warranty, sounds good for me biggrin.gif

Interesting ... didnt know Malaysia have people carries them. Just wondering the damage of this ...

I actually encounter their booth at PC Fair, sometime back in 2012 or before. Price was expensive ( ~RM300 ) and no warranty provided, unlike what I saw from HK magazine, thus I leave it.
