QUOTE(wiind @ Jan 14 2014, 04:11 PM) You need Australia address. Then either forward or ship back to Malaysia. Best to have people to hand carry it back for you lo..QUOTE(NightFelix @ Jan 14 2014, 04:33 PM) Yeap, Aussie set cheapest. That's why a lot here also buy from Aus (include me Japan price also not bad.. UK being the most $$ QUOTE(xixo_12 @ Jan 14 2014, 04:35 PM) If you got friend oversea, can ask them buy back for you (check which play store got play devices)or just buy either from local AP dealers or those whose who do ship it back.. Price depends on which model you want and also which set, eg: Jpn, Aus, US.. pricing depends on how you purchase it.. ranges from 1.3k - 1.8k This post has been edited by xxdesire: Jan 14 2014, 05:08 PM |

Nexus 4 did not really get good response (not to say no sales) when they launched it. People already bought N4 AP set when it was introduced.
Best bet I guess they might skip release of N5 here in Malaysia. |

QUOTE(ashwin988 @ Jan 15 2014, 11:28 AM) Yup, clearly explain how silly people can be.. buying the nexus because is Samsung and not know that its actually a google phone Truth to be told, at first I was actually disappointed N4 was by LG.. that's why I skipped N4..then I heard N5 was going to be by another manufacturer; not LG, so decided to wait for N5.. but then when all the leaks came out, was like "aww, still LG", but the phone design is pretty nice and from reviews of N4, decided to get N5. QUOTE(Mr.Copland @ Jan 15 2014, 11:31 AM) Don't think you can do video call on aosp (normal call charges) but you can do like hangouts video call (uses internet) |

Any wakelocks? try use Wakelock Detector to checki notice that dalvik gives me more battery life than ART but online review is the opposite of it. last week im having a really really bad battery life, Android System and Android OS used percentage is higher than screen on percentage then i've decided to factory reset everything and forget to switch on the ART. it gives me incredible battery life and i though i was on ART until yesterday. I found out i was on Dalvik and switch to ART before went to sleep. This morning when i check my phone, the same symptoms happen again and i thought it was those apps that i have downloaded that caused this problem. anyone can share their view on this? Stock Rom (non-rooted) *some ppl at XDA mention that even if i switch back to Dalvik from ART wont solve the problem until i go for another factory reset. |

QUOTE(ben5173 @ Jan 16 2014, 08:56 AM) hi, my unit is non-rooted. this is my second android phone after HTC G1, so wont be rooting the device anytime soon. I think it was confirmed from online sources that ART is draining more battery overnight. I will do a factory reset if switching back to Dalvik wont work. Ahh sorry, my fault for not reading properly. Kinda hard to tell what is running in the background overnight without those monitoring app (root required ofc). Yeah, try switching between art and dalvik and test it for a few days.. edit: art has been good for me though (battery life - I did root » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by xxdesire: Jan 16 2014, 09:09 AM |

There is also the camera software.
Eg: Samsung camera software works closely to touchwiz. When my friend flash a custom aosp rom, he said he wasn't satisfied with the camera. Flashed back custom stock rom. So of course, other manufacturers may produce better camera quality with their UI; slightly much expensive then nexus. Google been receiving plenty complains regarding their camera and battery issues.. I believe most people here do read reviews before buying the phone. No hate |
