What is the best way to transfer the whatsapp? tq in advance.

backup your conversation from your old phone then paste the folder to nexus 5
make sure you are using the same number so that you restore back the backup

QUOTE(Tsukiyomi001 @ Jan 25 2014, 11:51 PM)
Most probably you're looking at a mobile site, try nnotebookcheck.net and see, should see more content at 100% zoom
*
tried it and it display the same. hmm.gif
both in chrome

is like the text in nexus 5 is slightly larger than s3 but both in 100% zoom

paste to storage, the same directory where you copied it from
ie phone A/storage/whatsapp --> phone B/storage

IIRC every convo is in that folder already, after you install whats app on phone B, paste the folder, then only start up whatsapp, the app should detect and restore the convos
hmm... that i have no experience, sorry about that, maybe try with pictures? ie 3000x3000 pixel picture, open in chrome, zoom to 100%, should see more of the picture in  N5 compared to S3...
*
hmm..will try that later

QUOTE(djlah @ Jan 26 2014, 12:07 AM)
you forgot to check screen DPI... tell us what is the DPI for both
*

another myth if no spider web - it could be the Nillkin Glass SP not original one  biggrin.gif

then many people here must be using fake one since the seller is recommended from here brows.gif

QUOTE(djlah @ Jan 26 2014, 10:49 AM)
every device might have different DPI on stock too. I'm not sure what's the DPI for S3, N5 is 480 DPI stock. so beside screen resolution, if you want to show more content than S3, simple. just change to lower density. currently I'm on SlimKat, the dev change from stock 480 DPI to 370 DPI, love it. beside custom rom, there is also several rooted app on PLAY can change that too.

ya but have to root it first. i think i have to use nova launcher

root is damm simple on nexus device, most easiest if compare to samsung, htc, etc.... read more will gain you more confident. previously you mentioned browser text comparison, if you use nova launcher are nothing to do with that. launcher are just for homescreen interface.
*
ya, i never have a problem with rooting. changing the dpi from build.prop also not going to change the text size too right?

happens sometimes when I touch or move the usb cable during transfer, try using a different port/cable or a shorter length one
*

didn't know nexus 5 is that fragile until i bought it  cry.gif . i guess i gotta get it a full protective gear  sweat.gif

btw, has sms app been discussed in this thread before? am trying to find the best one and last night i downloaded textra. seems pretty lightweight and simple (which is how i wanted it anyway).
