Ederson (6/10):
Could relax and put his feet up as he had no saves to make and only had to use his feet on a couple of occasions.
Matheus Nunes (6/10):
A good game to boost his confidence after struggling against Bournemouth.
Ruben Dias (7/10):
Very comfortable in defence, to the point he was able to get forward and spark Marmoush's goal with a chip into the box.
Josko Gvardiol (6/10):
Not as threatening as usual due to playing in the middle of the defence, but showed he is still a classy operator at centre-back, the position in which he made his name.
Nico O'Reilly (6/10):
Not as active as in the FA Cup tie at Bournemouth, but looked very comfortable in his first Premier League start and played his part in Marmoush's goal by occupying Hermansen's mind.
Ilkay Gundogan (7/10):
Went on a marauding run through the middle before being fouled. Spread the play with ease and was able to run the midfield.
Nico Gonzalez (7/10):
A powerful presence in midfield, ensuring Leicester never got close to creating anything.
Jack Grealish (8/10):
Grabbed the opportunity of a first league start since December with both hands and showed he deserves more opportunities.
Savinho (8/10):
Was constantly stretching Leicester's defence with his mazy runs and set up the opening goal.
Omar Marmoush (6/10):
Took his goal well, although given the lack of quality of the opponent he should have caused more damage in Haaland's absence.
Jeremy Doku (6/10):
Lively down the left wing but didn't have much end product.
Subs & Manager
James McAtee (6/10):
Got a relaxing 12 minutes after replacing Doku.
Oscar Bobb (N/A):
Got a hero's welcome after making his first appearance of the season following a horrific injury at the start of the campaign, but only got five minutes.
Rico Lewis (N/A):
Came on in added time.
Vitor Reis (N/A):
On in stoppage time.
Pep Guardiola (6/10):
Banned from the touchline but had little to worry about. His choice to give some game time to the lesser used players suited the occasion and the opponent perfectly.

Ederson-6/10: Bar one Leicester City shot in the first half he was largely a spectator. However, he did play some nice passes in City’s possession game at times.
Matheus Nunes-7/10: A good showing from Nunes. Got forward well and offered something in possession.
Ruben Dias-7/10: He didn’t have a lot to do but did what he had to well.
Josko Gvardiol-7.5/10: Manchester City look more balanced with Gvardiol at centre-back and he put in a polished performance.
Nico O’Reilly-7.5/10: He earned his start and he showed that he belongs at the highest level. Not as impactful as his display against Bournemouth but he showed plenty.
Nico- 7/10: He adds composure to Manchester City’s midfield and did his job on the night.
Ilkay Gundogan-7/10: Another good performance from Gundogan which followed on from his good display at Bournemouth.
Jack Grealish-8/10: Grabbed a goal and looked lively playing in midfield and drifting around the pitch.
Jeremy Doku-7/10: He had moments when he dazzled and others when he was frustrating. But he did play well before he was substituted.
Savinho-7.5/10: He set up the opener for Jack Grealish and was lively throughout. Once he improves his finishing, he will become a world-class winger ,and that aspect of his play let him down at times.
Omar Marmoush-7.5/10: Scored a goal and was lively throughout.
Substitutes
James McAtee- N/A: Not on long enough to mark.
Oscar Bobb- N/A: Not on long enough to mark but it was fantastic to see him back on the pitch.
Vitor Reis- N/A: Not on long enough to mark.
Rico Lewis- N/A: Not on long enough to mark.

Player Ratings
Ederson – 7
A fairly quiet afternoon for the Brazilian, however when called upon Ederson made a crucial save to deny Joshua Zirkzee a golden opportunity.
Matheus Nunes – 6.5
Showed glimpses of quality through his passing, however his defending was less convincing, often leaving Patrick Dorgu with too much space down the left hand side.
Ruben Dias – 6
After a poor start, the Portuguese centre-back gradually grew into the game by remaining defensively composed throughout.
Josko Gvardiol – 6.5
A solid performance from the Croatian international, delivering a composed performance and stepping in confidently when needed.
Nico O’Reilly – 7
Another good performance from the youngster, who was able to string together passes to create chances before being replaced by Rico Lewis in the second-half.
Mateo Kovacic – 5
A quiet game from Manchester City’s number 8, who also struggled with the threat of Bruno Fernandes.
Ilkay Gundogan – 6
A decent performance from the German, who came close to breaking the deadlock in the first-half. He remained composed throughout the game before being replaced by Jack Grealish.
Bernardo Silva – 7
The Portuguese midfielder really helped out defensively, especially in the second half dealing with Alejandro Garnacho.
Kevin De Bruyne – 6.5
Was constantly looking for the right passes throughout and to break the deadlock. Was unlucky his pass did not reach Omar Marmoush to open the scoring.
Phil Foden- 5
Another quiet game for the Englishman, who struggled to really make an impact. Could have scored in the second half but scuffed his shot under pressure from the Red Devils’ defence.
Omar Marmoush – 7.5 (POTM)
Probably Manchester City’s biggest threat. The Egyptian made some great runs on and off the ball and came close to scoring with a great effort from a free kick.
Substitutes
Jeremy Doku – 7
Did well when he replaced Foden and won some good fouls through the use of his dribbling to put us in better goalscoring opportunities.
Jack Grealish – 6
The Citizens’ number 10 did well to progress the ball forward and retain the ball.
Rico Lewis – N/A

Player Ratings
Ederson: Very little to do for the second game in a row, but made an important save from Zirkzee in the final 15 minutes. 7
Nunes: A good header in the second half to clear the danger, but struggled up against Garnacho and Dorgu despite having Silva to help. 5
Dias: Walked a tightrope after being booked inside the first minutes but recovered well, with an important block in the second half. 6
Gvardiol: Another game inside and he had little to worry about all afternoon 6
O'Reilly: Decent going forward, although a bit naive at the back. He switched off a few times in moments that could have cost City. 5
Kovacic: Wasn't able to dictate the game for City but kept his head (just about) to limit the panic. 6
Gundogan: Has looked better in recent games but nothing he tried came off, wasting potential attacks. 5
Silva: Has had stick this season for not seeming to do very much, but this was another game where he was used in multiple positions and helped out wherever he was needed. 6
De Bruyne: There was not last magic at Old Trafford for the captain, with some promising openings only followed by weak shots. 5
Foden: Got the ball in some promising position but didn't do enough with it. Looks low in confidence and was hooked early. 5
Marmoush: Went closest to scoring for City, which doesn't say a lot but should be noted. Has an excellent shot on him 6
Substitutes
Doku (for Foden, 58) Some promising runs at Dalot and Mazrouai but the final product wasn't there. 6
Grealish (for Gundogan, 74) Couldn't get into the game. 6
Lewis (for O'Reilly, 74) Most of the play came down the other flank. 6

Player Ratings
Ederson (6/10):
Had virtually nothing to do but dealt with anything that came his way perfectly well.
Matheus Nunes (6/10):
Did a decent job out of position, providing City with plenty of energy from right-back, but lacked the quality to make a real difference going forwards.
Ruben Dias (5/10):
Picked up a booking inside 60 minutes of the match and had to tread carefully from there but managed to escape any further scares.
Josko Gvardiol (6/10):
Looks accomplished in a central role and played a good part in a comfortable team display, from a defensive point of view.
Nico O'Reilly (6/10):
A midfielder by trade, O'Reilly looks confident at left-back and provides City with the legs they lack elsewhere. Rarely used his pace in the wide areas but still an accomplished performance.
Mateo Kovacic (5/10):
Kept possession well enough but was one of those guilty of playing the match at too slow a pace.
Ilkay Gundogan (5/10):
Another who did not catch the eye as City's slow midfield play and lack of progressive quality caused a stalemate.
Bernardo Silva (6/10):
Tried his best to influence the game despite lacking the dynamism he has showed over the years. Booked inside the first minute of the second half still does a good tactical job for the team, picking and choosing the opportunities to drift wide or tuck inside.
Phil Foden (4/10):
Subbed off before the hour mark having failed to make any kind of impact on the game. Lacks all of the confidence that saw him win Premier League player of the season a year ago, with his twinkle toes generally taking him down blind alleys rather than creating.
Kevin De Bruyne (4/10):
Not a memorable final Manchester derby appearance for De Bruyne, who could not find his usual quality to create as a false nine.
Omar Marmoush (6/10):
Was at least willing and able to try and make things happen, forcing Onana into a good save from a ferocious strike and looking to be dynamic. The game was too poor to give him a chance of really making anything happen from his inside left position, though.
Subs & Manager
Jeremy Doku (5/10):
The game seemed to be crying out for some pace and width but Doku struggled to make any impact.
Jack Grealish (5/10):
Also had minimal influence after getting another run out in a central position.
Rico Lewis (5/10):
Did fine after slotting in at left-back.
Pep Guardiola (4/10):
Fielded a team full of players who prefer the ball to feet and lack pace, resulting in a laboured performance. Is still showing lots of faith in his heroes from the last few years who have had disappointing campaigns.

Player Ratings
Ederson-7/10: Made one crucial save to keep it at nil-all. A good performance from Ederson who made several crucial interventions from balls into his area as well.
Matheus Nunes-7.5/10: His best game for Manchester City in my opinion. He defended well and was good in possession.
Ruben Dias-7.5/10: Made several crucial blocks and played well on the day.
Josko Gvardiol-7/10: Like Dias he defended well and made some crucial defensive headers late on.
Nico O’Reilly-6.5/10: Had some nice touches but was caught out defensively on occasions. A good learning experience for him. Although he did offer some quality with his passing in a City team that was crying out for creativity.
Mateo Kovacic-6/10: Caught in possession on occasions, but he did stick to his position, and he wasn’t City’s worst player.
Ilkay Gundogan-5/10: Started in midfield but really didn’t have any influence on the game bar one shot in the first half.
Bernardo Silva-6/10: He did a lot of the grunt work for his team but you do feel like City needed more than that to win the game.
Kevin De Bruyne-6/10: He had several shots and moments but he couldn’t provide the defining moment in his final Manchester derby.
Phil Foden-5/10: Had the game’s biggest chance minutes before he was substituted after 58 minutes. But he squandered that which summed up his performance on the day.
Omar Marmoush-6.5/10: Marmoush was lively but starved of service. However, he did see two shots saved by Onana.
Substitutes
Jeremy Doku-5/10: Tried to change the game but his end product was lacking.
Jack Grealish-N/A: Not on long enough to mark.
Rico Lewis- N/A: Not on long enough to mark.

According to the information of The Athletic’s David Ornstein, both Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White and Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz are among the options Manchester City will consider to replace Kevin De Bruyne this summer.

Player Ratings
Ederson – 6.5
Some questionable defensive positioning perhaps for Crystal Palace’s two goals, but was largely faultless throughout the rest of the game, taking note of a trademark stellar assist for James McAtee. Injured and forced off, however.
Rico Lewis – 6
Having been in and out of the side lately, Lewis showed good composure on the ball and held a clear intent to bring Manchester City up the pitch when in possession. Some may point an element of blame in Rico Lewis’ direction for Eberechi Eze’s opener, leaving the forward unmarked inside the City penalty area.
Ruben Dias – 6
Resolute in his defending. Little to write home about, but strong and commanding as you would expect.
Josko Gvardiol – 6
More of the driving force alongside Ruben Dias, carrying the ball out from Manchester City’s defensive third and trying to find those in midfield and attack with his splitting passes.
Nico O’Reilly – 7
Another strong showing from a 20-year-old playing without any previous experience at left-back. His physicality, ball control, eye for a pass, and eye for a goal makes him a unique presence as a full-back, and no doubt a player Pep Guardiola can count on in future. Excellent finish for the fifth and final goal.
Nico – 6
Brought about an assuredness at the base of midfield. Largely faultless in turning the ball over and bringing City forward. Combined well with Mateo Kovacic and the defensive pairing in particular.
Mateo Kovacic – 6.5
A much better performance from the Croatian, in a season where he has been pretty strong overall. Excellent finish for his goal at a time when Manchester City needed to get a grip of the contest and get in front before Crystal Palace could themselves.
Ilkay Gundogan – 7
Similar tone to Kovacic in being a strong performance despite recent criticism. Ilkay Gundogan seems to be using his experience more and more lately, turning over the ball quicker and getting in more offensive areas, perhaps through Guardiola’s instruction.
Kevin De Bruyne © – 9, MOTM
Class is permanent. This was a Kevin De Bruyne showpiece; the exact sort of quality we have become accustomed to over the last decade. If Manchester City are to qualify for the UEFA Champions League or win the FA Cup in the remaining weeks, the outgoing club legend will be at the very centre of that output.
James McAtee – 7.5
So many opportunity to convert and score perhaps around five goals on Saturday afternoon, but he finally got his strike and took it expertly with an outstanding first touch and showing the composure to round Dean Henderson and slot home. More of the same, and consistently, and he no doubt has a long career at Manchester City.
Omar Marmoush – 7.5
Where would we honestly be without Omar Marmoush’s forward presence and goals?! This was a must-sign player in January and we’re seeing exactly why; pace, flair, eye for goal, attacking urgency.
Substitutes
Stefan Ortega Moreno – 6
Oscar Bobb – 6

Ederson: Defended abysmally for the opening two goals, but ended with an assist for McAtee before injury saw him taken off. 5
Lewis: Hasn't played in a while and he did well, confident enough to take the ball under pressure and push City forward. 7
Dias: Too weak for the second Palace goal but got a grip after that and worked well as Palace got deeper. 6
Gvardiol: Some good late tackles to prevent Palace getting clean through, and looked happier once Mateta went off. 6
O'Reilly: Palace kept getting in behind him in the first half but he made some recoveries and did well for City's third before a great finish for the fifth 7
Gonzalez: Looked to get City moving and made some important interceptions, although a first-half booking was avoidable. 6
Kovacic: Turned the team out of some tricky spot and took his goal brilliantly to complete the comeback. 7
Gundogan: Another quietly influential performance, making the key pass for the third goal and helping the attack. 7
McAtee: Made a lot happen. Wasn't brilliant at making the most of that with some good chances missed, but he took his goal well. 7
De Bruyne: Started the comeback and never stopped, driving City on until the end. He's still got it. 8
Marmoush: So much energy, limbs whirling all over the pitch. It wasn't all for good use but he scored another important goal. 7
Substitutes
Ortega (for Ederson, 71) A quiet 20 minutes with the game all but over. 6
Savinho (for Marmoush, 82) No time. 6
Bobb (for McAtee, 82) No time. 6
Doku (for De Bruyne, 88) Even less time
Grealish (for Kovacic, 88) Even less time

Ederson (6/10):
Pathetic attempt at a punch cost his side for Palace's second goal but redeemed himself somewhat with a fabulous assist for McAtee. Taken off after 70 minutes with a groin issue.
Rico Lewis (5/10):
Was nowhere to be seen as Eze tapped home at the far post and it seemed he was under instruction not to get forward too much, understandably given Palace's threat on the counter. Might've given away a late penalty for a clumsy handball.
Ruben Dias (3/10):
A nightmare first half. Was sleeping as Palace punished City's high line for Eze's goal and then reacted too late to allow Richards the easy task of nodding home for 2-0.
Josko Gvardiol (5/10):
Slow to react to Sarr escaping free for the Eze opener and caught under the ball as Lacroix eased him out of the way for the second. Improved in the second half as Palace's threat faded.
Nico O'Reilly (7/10):
Was getting little help as Palace exploited his side of the pitch in the first half but played a part in Kovacic's goal and then scored his first in the Premier League with an assured finish.
Nico Gonzalez (7/10):
Hardly put a foot wrong after City's early struggles, keeping things ticking over and helping mop up defensively, too.
Mateo Kovacic (8/10):
Smacked home City's crucial third goal in an all-action performance that saw him cover a lot of ground over the 90 minutes.
James McAtee (7/10):
Wayward with his finishing at times but his cross for De Bruyne helped cause havoc for the equaliser and then he got his goal by coolly rounding Henderson.
Ilkay Gundogan (7/10):
He improved as City started to rack up the goals and he hardly gave the ball away all game. Will get the assist for Marmoush's goal, albeit he didn't know much about it.
Kevin De Bruyne (9/10):
Vintage De Bruyne. City needed their captain after their horrendous opening half hour and he stepped up and delivered. A goal, an assist and easily the best player on the pitch.
Omar Marmoush (7/10):
Denied by a big save from Henderson early doors but showed his predatory instincts in the box to smash home City's second goal. Should've added to his tally after De Bruyne put it on a plate for him.
Subs & Manager
Stefan Ortega (6/10):
Had literally nothing to do after replacing Ederson for the final 20 minutes, save for a few passes out from the back.
Oscar Bobb (N/A):
A late replacement for Marmoush as he continues his comeback from an injury-ravaged season.
Savinho (N/A):
On for the final 10 minutes.
Jeremy Doku (N/A):
On for De Bruyne to allow the Belgian assist king the standing ovation his performance deserved.
Jack Grealish (N/A):
Replaced Kovacic for the final few minutes.
Pep Guardiola (7/10):
As much as he'll be furious at his side's slow start he'll have been hugely encouraged by the way they reacted, with City eventually getting their act together - likely after some choice words from their manager at the break.

Player Ratings
Ederson-6.5/10: I thought he could’ve been stronger in dealing with the cross for Crystal Palace’s second goal. His assist for McAtee’s goal was utterly superb.
Rico Lewis-7/10: Linked the play well at right-back in a good performance from Lewis.
Ruben Dias-7/10: Dias helped City settle after their poor start.
Josko Gvardiol-7/10: Like Dias he helped his team regain control of the match after a poor start.
Nico O’Reilly-8/10: He scored a goal, and he played well over the course of the full 90 minutes. He is developing into a fine player which he showed again today.
Nico-7.5/10: Helped Manchester City take control of the game in midfield alongside Mateo Kovacic. A good performance from Nico.
Mateo Kovacic-8/10: Scored a goal and played well alongside Nico in a no-nonsense display. One of the better performances from Kovacic this season.
Ilkay Gundogan-7/10: Linked Manchester City’s play well in midfield in a good performance.
James McAtee-7.5/10: Scored one but should have probably scored a hat trick. Put in a lively performance before he was substituted late in the second half.
Kevin De Bruyne-10/10: An inspirational performance from De Bruyne. At 2-nil down, Manchester City needed someone to inspire them and it was De Bruyne. His goal got them back into the match and his efforts helped lift his team.
Omar Marmoush-8/10: His movement and pressing was superb and he was rewarded with a goal. Perhaps he should have had another but he played a key role in City’s win.
Substitutes
Stefan Ortega-6/10: Made one crucial intervention after coming on for Ederson.
Oscar Bobb-N/A: Not on long enough to mark.
Savinho-N/A: Not on long enough to mark.
Jack Grealish- N/A: Not on long enough to mark.
Jeremy Doku-N/A: Not on long enough to mark.

Ederson - 6
City’s goalkeeper was caught flapping nowhere near the ball as Richards headed in Palace’s second goal. A measly appeal for a free kick for some minor contact by Jean-Philippe Mateta was never going to absolve him. However, Ederson made up for the error with a fantastic pass to put James McAtee through on goal for City’s fourth. On a mixed day, Ederson then limped off injured.
Rico Lewis - 7
Many of City’s best moments came from Rico Lewis’s driving runs from deep positions. The England star is finding his groove after a tough second full season in senior football.
Ruben Dias - 5
Dias was weak and allowed Richards too much room to score. The Portuguese defender had little to do in the second half with Palace taking Mateta off at half-time.
Josko Gvardiol - 5
Gvardiol was also caught underneath the ball for Palace’s second but most of the blame will go to Ederson and Dias.
Nico O’Reilly - 8
The emergence of O’Reilly has been a highlight of City’s season. The converted left-back defended well and showed huge confidence to weave his way around a number of challenges. His side-footed finish to score City's fifth was a reward for a fine display. This is another case of the City academy producing a top-class talent.
Nico Gonzalez - 6
Gonzalez kept City ticking in midfield and broke up many of Palace’s most threatening attacks.
Mateo Kovacic - 8
A deserved goal capped an excellent performance by Kovacic. If De Bruyne was the headline act, Kovacic did an excellent job in a supporting role.
James McAtee - 6
McAtee drifted in and out of the game. He missed a couple of excellent chances but benefitted from Ederson’s fantastic pass, with the midfielder rounding Dean Henderson before tapping into an empty net.
Kevin De Bruyne - 9
This was a throwback to prime De Bruyne at his very best. He struck the post with Palace still leading 2-0 and that marked the moment the momentum of the game swung in City's favour. De Bruyne then thrashed a free kick in via Henderson's post. He created the most chances in the match with three.
Ilkay Gundogan - 6
Gundogan played his part in a big win, featuring in a more advanced role than usual.
Omar Marmoush - 7
Marmoush was guilty of missing a couple of key chances but did eventually score his goal by firing in the equaliser. The January signing has been an excellent addition and has stepped into Erling Haaland's shoes very well.
Substitutes
Stefan Ortega (for Ederson, '71) - 7
Ortega made an excellent intervention to deny Matheus Franca's cross from finding Ismaila Sarr.
Oscar Bobb (for Marmoush, '82) - N/A
It is positive to see the talented Bobb back from a horrible injury he suffered at the start of the season.
Savinho (for McAtee, '82) - N/A
Had little impact after replacing McAtee.
Jack Grealish (for Kovacic, '88) - N/A
City comfortably saw out the game after Grealish's introduction.
Jeremy Doku (for De Bruyne, '88) - N/A
Doku can thank the man he replaced for giving him an easy job in helping City see through a 5-2 win in the final few moments.
