Price is around there. It is 20K as per manual, this is normal plug only, not iridium.
ATF you should change 60k-80k depends how aggressive your driving is. It also depends how you take care your car. I replaced mine at 40K.

Only 1.8PS is iridium. All other model are not. Maybe they changed it on 2014, but as I aware it's the same for 2012-2013.


No oil that will last forever. You want to stingy on few hundred or waste 20-10k to replace the gearbox?

My 1st post, I have been driving my 2013 1.8 elantra for over 4 mths now - basically I love it - things i like most is -quiet cabin and electric powered driver seat - man the seat is awesome. The engine performance is okay too and FC is not bad.

My only complaint is - how the car handle road roughness - to specific potholes, if you drive fast even over a small holes - you can feel as if your wheel are coming off. So I am thinking of changing my shock absorber - question - anybody here has done this, will it help? Thank you for sharing.

Anyone knows when we (Msia) are gonna get the new facelifted 2014 Elantra? I plan to get an Elantra but wanna wait till the new facelift version... When when when??? Anyone knows?

Traded in my 1.8G Altis since elantra launched in 2012/. Never looked back. I actually Pity those still blindly following T batch to buy cars and got ripped off for what they pay vs what they get. No major issue at all with the car. I can guarantee built quality is even better than 'cbu' from Thai cars.
As mentioned, only weakness is soft absorber. Petrol consumption lose out a bit to Altis, but in exchange, u get much more interior space and features.
Will be driving it for another 5 years until I start looking for 6 airbag cars.

KIA Cerato both 1.6 and 2.0 give better spec list compare to Elantra rite?
Things like 6 airbags,free GPS and reverse camera both spec....

Driving dynamics I'm not sure which one is better.

Btw, for the rear absorber fish tail issue you can request upgrade at Hyundai SC. I already done mine.

Same they r both korean cars, u must compare after sales service. Let's just say Naza kia is giving alot of excused for warranty claims. I have no issue claiming warranty from SD so far.
Also i prefer elantra interior design.
Lastly, when I bought it during launch, cerato not out yet. So saved me some headache there.

Yes just an indicator on how heavy ur foot is.

For 1.8 around 2k. U have to change the rain sensor also as it comes attached to the screen. Price included the sensor.

Most who changed absorber in sc say no difference after a few months. So didn't bother.

I don't see much difference with FL. Since sports series out and now come free with auto fold mirror, is a good buy. Wait for 1-2 months am sure u can get huge discount. Rather than wait for FL and need to pay full price.
