QUOTE(v1n0d @ Mar 26 2014, 01:13 PM) Valve has asked for player positions (core or non-core) in their leaderboard registration. I think they will segregate according to role. cos i saw that reddit post. so exploitable. not that im pro la .. but kind of boring when the whole game is all carry and lose is always our fault one. dunno what is the thing with matchmaking. sometimes can win like 7 games in a row. then lose like 10 games. totally baffled. but i enjoy all games tho |

Bro best advice I can give you is practice bot games with a few heroes until you get comfortable with their skills and know them inside out. in game name: Aki+ Please against hard bots will teach you laning principles. Then after you confident try normal pub games (not ranked) |

QUOTE(Blues89 @ Mar 26 2014, 02:29 PM) without knowing all hero skill..its still hard @@" Yeap I agree with you. I use to start off with playing random on AI. Slowly learn heroes that way. Even though I didnt master any hero, I gain knowledge on how most hero works. From that you will learn laning etc. I also suggest watch tournament matches to further enhance your knowledge on other areas, ward placement, pulling of creeps, stacking, etc.get used to the controls then get to know every single hero skill and how they work. QUOTE(Agito666 @ Mar 26 2014, 02:35 PM) All the hamsap ppl will get dat gem. All aim QOP's longkang liao.. |

QUOTE(Blues89 @ Mar 26 2014, 02:44 PM) tourney maybe too fast for beginner lol..ward and stuffs and even allowing role1 those get last hits... I learn by watching friends play last time and I just copy whatever they did. Builds, how they gank, etc. Watching someone play and learn is much faster than reading and experiment yourself in bot matches.maybe for beginner a bit hard to absorb |

QUOTE(whoopa @ Mar 26 2014, 01:40 PM) cos i saw that reddit post. so exploitable. not that im pro la .. but kind of boring when the whole game is all carry and lose is always our fault one. I have a feeling the exploit will be fixed soon. Looking at Valve's track record, they are quick to address issues that have been brought up on Reddit. Get ready for MMR that evolves depending on your game impact rather than just wins/losses.dunno what is the thing with matchmaking. sometimes can win like 7 games in a row. then lose like 10 games. totally baffled. but i enjoy all games tho QUOTE(Blues89 @ Mar 26 2014, 02:44 PM) tourney maybe too fast for beginner lol..ward and stuffs and even allowing role1 those get last hits... I disagree. Sometimes the hard way is the best way to learn. Most players read/watch a lot of stuff online and as a result they think they're good because they have the knowledge base. Sadly, knowing isn't the same as doing. Go tourney, kena tapau, then only will you know where you stand. If you don't believe me, you can always ask sniperz, he's a veteran in the local scene.maybe for beginner a bit hard to absorb |

tourney players mostly have team and very good teamplay...
asking a beginner to learn from them is hard, yes can improve, but i think step by step will build better basics than throwing so many advanced gameplay :/ and i think itll be more efficient as well..easiest if theyre ppl to guide u along the way. a team of fren that plays together |

Yes an experience mentor/friend to tell you what to do and what to buy will help the most. Still remember my friend list down all the items I should buy for sniper but he forgotten to tell me the location of secret shop and how to combine recipe (5.84 era)
Anyhow, practice makes perfect. All others are just to assist you to improve. |

Normally ppl play Dota is from the influence of friends. I even made friends during college through dota. Its like a topic to break the ice.
So most ppl who started dota will have friends who are already playing it. Just that when you are noob, you might get scolding or they wont want to play with you that often. Best is to have few noob friends start together |
