In my Alliance's Insurance Statement

Life Insurance Premium + KWSP  = Insurans nyawa dan KWSP ?

Medical Insurance Premium = Insurans pendidikan dan perubatan ?
*
Yes. Follow the percentage allocation of your total paid premium.

ok so anyone can just do installments to lhdn and decide how long it has to be ? Cos I read some ppl said that if you exceeded the 30 days after you submit you have to pay penalties so when you pay installment obviously it will be monthly so exceeded the due date.
*
Sorry, this is my mistake.

I misread and I thought that you wanted to make payment for insufficient tax payment deducted from PCB.

I retract my statement.

the receipt from church don't have stated that, just stated "official receipt from XXX chuch", amount, signature from church's treasurer.

But those are done on voluntary basis for the sake of faith, shouldn't be using it for tax reduction. Just my humble opinion. laugh.gif

What is the minimum gross salary which is taxable?

Adakah saya layak dikenakan cukai
Mulai Tahun 2013 individu yang mempunyai pendapatan penggajian tahunan melebihi RM30,667 (selepas potongan KWSP) perlu mendaftar fail cukai pendapatan.

Sekiranya pekerja layak dikenakan potongan PCB, pekerja dinasihatkan mendaftar fail cukai pendapatan terlebih dahulu sebelum potongan PCB dibuat.

^ So to confirm, if I have no EPF deduction,
it'll be RM30,667 annual income ?
*
Of course it's an annual income. If that amount is the monthly income and not subjected to tax, I believe every citizen will be extremely happy of it.

I understand that it is taxable for annual income of RM30,667
(after EPF deduction).

So what is the maximum allowable % of deduction?
*
EPF relief together with life insurance policy is RM 6k max.

hi what if the EA form there stated less than 29k. Should he/she still need to submit the income tax?
*
Not subject to tax and not filing is two separate issues.

If he or she has a income tax file opened with LHDN, it's better to file even though you're no subject to tax.

Just called up LHDN at 1-800-88-5436 & they confirmed that the relief for "Broadband" only for Year 2010 - 2012.

In fact their latest brochure on "TAX DEDUCTION, RELIEF & REBATE" also don't have such item.

hi guys,

i've been reading around that if you earn 2.5k and above per month, you are taxable.

my question is, is this 2.5k referring to nett or gross salary? My gross salary is 2.8k per month = RM33,600 annually.

my nett salary (after minus EPF socso) = RM2478 per month = RM29,736 annually.

Assuming no tax relief/rebate.

By just looking at the amount above, am I taxable? I look at my salary slip from my company and under the 'income tax deduction', it is RM0 every month.
*
The monthly PCB deduction is just an estimation. Ultimately it'll still go to your annual aggregate income which includes bonus and allowances.

Therefore, just file according to the EA form prepared by your company HR.

just the basic salary. no bonus no allowance.

so am i taxable? just based on the amount i stated in my previous post.

simple and straightforward. just want to know yes or no.
*
If you want to use that guideline, it is straight forward

However, not taxable and not filing are two separate issues.

We're not teaching people for tax evasion in this thread.

Ok thanks.

So are you saying that even if i am not taxable, i should file it?

Was under the impression that if my total income is not taxable, there is no need to file. correct me if i'm wrong.
*
If you have an income tax file number, then you have to file it even though you're not taxable.

Your HR may have assisted you to create one of it.
