I noticed that in the e-filing website, if you click on the number "2" on the picture with purple background, you can get into the 2013 e-BE.
If you select "login e-borang" on the menu on left hand side, you'll go to e-Be 2012.
*
I can login using "Login e-Borang" this morning.

Pendapatan Aggregat is including bonus, so an individual can be earning less than RM8000 per month but having annual income more than RM96000. In this case, the system will automatically consider the individual to be not eligible for the RM2000 relief. Am I right?
*
Yes. You're right.

QUOTE(FirezZ @ Mar 4 2014, 03:00 PM)
btw... i see this column again

Faedah pinjaman perumahan
(mesti memenuhi syarat-syarat kelayakan)
Perjanjian jual beli ditandatangani dalam tempoh 10/03/2009 - 31/12/2010
Interest on housing loan (Conditions for eligibility to claim must be fulfilled)
The sale and purchase agreement has been executed within 10/03/2009 - 31/12/2010
Another statement :

mula dibayar.
Syarat kelayakan:
(i) pemastautin warganegara Malaysia;
(ii) pembelian rumah kediaman terhad kepada satu unit sahaja;
(iii) perjanjian jual beli ditandatangani dalam tempoh 10 Mac 2009 sehingga 31 Disember 2010; dan
(iv) rumah kediaman tersebut tidak disewakan.
For 3 years berturut turut... how do i confirm i have not been claims for 3 years already ? Need to dig back my snp to check ? or does it act this way... when im not eligible, this option will be greyed out ?

thanks
*
First, you need to check your S&P falls within the date of 10 Mac 2009 sehingga 31 Disember 2010.

Second, the "3 tahun berturut-turut" should be referring to you have been claiming for this relieves since YA2010. You may need your loan statement and BE form from 2010.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

What if I have business but not making any money. And having a full time job at the same time? Should I filled on April or June?
*
If you have other source of income beside full time employment, house rental, dividend, royalties and etc. and your business is registered sole proprietary, you should file for eB.

Hey all, I need a consult. Bought many sports equipment online from overseas last year. Can I claim it under my tax reduction? If yes, how do I go about the currency conversion? Thanks.
*
You sure pay by credit card right? Use that conversion rate.

@birdman13200, you're correct it's either deferred annuity or PRS.

Better check with the wealth management provider for details/eligibility. You need to keep the annual statement for claim in case of audit.

For the past few years, I have been entitled to get back excess tax paid but not this year as I have to top-up. My tax relief/rebates have been consistent, only basic things like books/epf.

Does it mean I have surpassed certain figure of annual income? Is there anyone knows what is the exact figure? What is the figure then?

Or could be I have keyed-in wrongly? Highly doubt that.
*
Perhaps you may have more bonuses or unreported allowance etc.

i) Tolakan cukai seksyen 110 (lain-lain)
ii)Pelepasan cukai seksyen 132 dan 133

BIK no need to declare. It's tax exempted - meaning not taxable.

i got a noob questions here.

if the refund that I claimed from LHDN is big sum of money, then i likely get audited by them?
*
It's subjective. It's rather the irregularity in the claim that we discovered that may cause you might be audited.

Dear David83

Appreciate if you can assist me on this:

1) For the housing loan interest tax relief:

I already claim for 2 years then i refinance the house loan, am i still eligible to claim the tax for the 3rd year?

2) My wife was hospitalisation during pregnancy at 8 months, is this can claim?

Thank you very much.
*
Q1: As long as your S&P date and other criteria are met, I don't think the refinancing will affect since you still need to service the loan inclusive of the interest.

Q2: For pregnancy, I don't think this is eligible. Medical expenses claim are only eligible for:

A. Parents (rawatan perubatan, keperluan khas dan penjaga)
B. Supporting aid/apparatus for yourself, spouse, children and parents
C. Chronic sickness for yourself, spouse and children
D. Full body medical check-up for yourself, spouse and children

Actually, I have a question for any unofficial tax advisers here and hope you can help shed a light.

My wife's EA form stated that her company trip's cost for food and tourist passes (excluding air fare and accommodation) is under the taxable item. Is this true? Is that legal?

My company trip's all costs are not reflected on mine, but it seems weird that her's is. We are working in different companies.

Any thoughts? thanks.
*
My personal opinion is that your wife company HR is treating those as fixed recurring allowance.

How frequent is your wife company trip?

This is like an annual trip for staff to celebrate together.
Would this be taxable?
*
Then your wife needs to clarify this with the HR.

hi all,

may i know for investment-linked insurance, can i get tax relief?
is it also under this category "Life insurance and provident fund"?

thanks.
*
A investment linked life insurance policy or product is eligible for claim and usually the certain percentage of the premium is allotted for life insurance portion, medical portion and etc. You need read the annual statement from your insurance company for correct relief claim in the filing.

Hi!
Can I get tax relief for purchasing recreational bicycles, like those bicycles sold in Giant? I had bought one for my kid..

Tq
*
First, you need to determine if that falls under sports equipment and its consumable. If it's not, then you cannot claim for it.

Cycling is indeed a sport activity, but the bicycle is not consumable.. So, I cannot claim tax relief for buying bicycle, is it? I need someone to confirm that my understanding is correct..
*
Take badminton as an example.

Badminton is a sport activity is an approved sport under list from Ministry of Sports

Equipment: Racket
Consumable: Shuttlecock

Both are claimable.

Hi all,

Could i claim my mother in law medical expenses under Perubatan Ibubapa?

Thanks

QUOTE
Can I claim medical expenses for my mother-in-law? She is staying with me and I pay for all her medical fees.

The tax relief of up to a maximum of RM5,000 is in respect of medical expenses expended by taxpayer for his parents. In your case, you are not entitled to claim the tax relief for your mother-in-law.

If your wife is working and/or earning an income, she would be entitled to claim the medical expenses for her mother provided that the claim is evidenced by a medical practitioner’s receipt.
