tested the car last night. Seems that my rFactor crashes frequently at Barcelona, so I tested it at Nordchelife instead. Crazy, but the new RD physics was better as I can use the pump to make the throttle less responsive at slow corners.

The ISI Barcelona or others? We got no crash yet..

I don't like the GP2 sound...

can copy the CTDP F1 sound ka? Worried the online mismatch...

well, I think editing sound.sfx won't make a mismatch, but you can always do the old fashion copy and rename the CTDP F1's WAV file to the GP2 files.
and ISI Barca hates v1.020

Spent 200++ laps at the Nuerburgring this morning trying to get a feel of the GP2 car. It seems that I need to have the car on understeer so that it will not spin out on me. But that means I have a high tyre wear. also because of the rear seems to be fishtailing than an F1 car, I use F<R instead of F>R wing setting on F1 cars. Also my fingers feels weird right now

Me nearly 100...so far ok.
But the main problem is don't know how to brake in gear 5/6 and NOT sliding

IMHO, it's all about the gas...how fast you hammer it down without understeering
the car.
Even a very tiny miscalculation will make the car understeer.

Best qualifying @ 1:31.xxx but my brother Alan is much more faster than me @ 1:30.xxx

After the testing, 1hr race....

NO Pitstop, average laptime = 1:37.xx
1 Pitstop, average laptime = 1:33.xx

4s gap x 38laps = 152s
1 pitstop loss time = 30s

So, the best strategy is 1 pitstop....

I remembered during my F1C days. Testing the cars untill I puked.(I used an edited headpysics so that the head movement was real, and let me tell you, I really respect real F1 drivers, they head vibrate like crazy).

The head moving side to side like a real F1 driver.

Depends on teh corner actually. you don't say how the corner is. Is it a fast one? Chicane? Hairpin? When you hit the apex of the corner, how the car feel? Is it stable enough? if not, use a higher gear as this will give more stability but you will lose some torque and acceleration. If the car is stable enought, use lower gear, but increases the chance of a spinout

Since GP2 league is coming, we're testing Barca right?
Other corners was ok...but still need development and change driving styles to do fast times.
My main problem is at La Caixa.



In 5th gear...brake and downshift to 3rd...then 'buang belakang' when do full braking and releasing it rapidly.
Need to do late braking (is it possible with all aids OFF?) for faster time.

How do you guys do it?
I think lost 3 seconds there.

Brake earlier lor. And if you can have a good entry from wurth you can go up to 6th gear. I usually brake nearly 150M before the corner, as it's a straight -> hairpin

forgot to mention...if too much 'buang belakang', need more rear wing.

Not necesserily. You can also make the car more understeer so that you won't need to lose on top speed by having more rear wing.

I'm away at the moment, kenduri at KKB...will pass u my telemetry data for your study...

When u install CTDP F1 2005 mod, it comes with Motec Telemetry, do u install it together? If not, plz install it back....Press CTRL+M to activate & disactivate it before leaving the pit....

Familiar yourself with reading the telemetry.....very very easy to understand.

Later i pass u my hotlap at Barca, u load with Motec, a very detail info each section, my temp, brake, gearing & etc...

Load your hotlap together and compare with mine....from there u can learn where is the best braking point, gearing & etc...study & practise to reduce the laptimes...

If u r in trouble, use teamspeak, it's the best way for me to guide u. VOICE CHAT !!!

I think top speed in Barca's straight line is 276...less than 280.
GP2 default speed is 287/9 I think.
Hopefully it won't affect the speed too much if put more rear wing.

rear wing will have more effect on straight line speed than front wing. but you will have a faster cornering speed. so you're not as slow as you might think.
