Singapore weaponaries are superior against us but it doest mean that they are better than us. Malaysian soldiers are more battle ready have war experience either during communist campaign and lately through our assignment in UN missions such as in Bosnia, Somalia, Lebanon etc.
These exposures give us a very valuable experience. Eventhough Singapore did has a training it is in foreign land it doesnt provide enough exposures to fight a real war and particularly in Malaysian environment.
BTW war between both country will never happened unless either country has a leader is like NKorea Kim Kong Ill. I consider the ratio of 1 to 100000. Malaysia know the effect if they are the aggressor and Singapore is the worst one as they are much dependence to Malaysia on economy and as trading city.
Lets say Singapore did launch the attack on Malaysia and occupied KL after 6 days..... Then their nightmare will begin as malaysia launch the most brutal guerrilla warfare which in this case Malaysia is many many times superior than Singapore. We are playing in our own backyard against a demoralised Singapore troops after many interdemidations. I am not sure about our currrent doctrin and method of training now but I do believe we still train in Counter Insurgency Warfare (CIW) which in this one we play the insurgency. Imagine the damage that can be done to Singapore Army, economy Strategic Importance, utliities, shipping line etc. So in the end who will lose?.
Ok now lets say it does happened (as keyboard warrior scenarios)
If Singapore attack first - it must be very quick or if more that 24 hours their offensive operations will be compromised. They must caught malaysian army empty handed because it is not easy to advance across water without proper logistical preparations. Singapore has air superiorities but are their runnaway/installations are within range?. If there are information leaks, Johore will be fortified and all strategic locations will be secured such as Causeway & 2nd Link etc. Alternative are amphibious operation at Mersing or other parts on the west course. But as at current hardwares they dont have the abiliity to do amphibious attack in large scale. But lets say if they managed to land and advance in lighting speed to KL and Kuantan, after 3 weeks they have to call for peace truce and they cannot maintain in defensive position either in large scale counter attack or guerrilla warfare in along the line from JB to KL and espionage activities in Singapore.
If Malaysia attack first.( this will never happened unless we have a mad general who like war and topple the democratic govt). Malaysia cross causeway/2nd links in lightning speed and mass amphibious and airborne landing. Singapore must be caught unprepared otherwise no way Malaysia can cross the straits...... Their air power has been clipped by aerial bombing of runaways etc. After 7 days all of Singapore military units wiped out. Then the Malaysian nightmares began..... Remnants of Singapore army launched a guerrilla warfare over urban areas. Singapore call for uncle sam help.......
That for teh tarik stories lol.
Sing MUST need foreign help, if not they cannot sustain the occupation... Mas hv many strategic bases and can simulate many direction of atk... My teh tarik theory...
