i agree. just look at germany during ww2.

they had the best engineered tanks but got pawned by sherman tank rush...

cant remember was it the americans o rbritish or the canadian forces but they were pinned down for day by the germans.(i think it was the Sherbrooke Fusiliers but my memory is blurred today).

german tanks (tigers, panthers and pz4), german AT guns (the 88mm) and alot of tank destroyers were pounding the allies. so they devise a plan to move in at night which was unheard of at that time.

huge number of shermans and cromwell were used for this operation and they succeeded in capturing the german strongpoint and forcing the germans into a retreat.

the allies were able to go back to full armoured fighting force in 24 hours after this operation while the germans were unable.

in the 5th royal tank regiment they had 1 sherman firefly for every 4 sherman tanks. the sherman firefly had a british 17 pounder gun compare to the 75mm short barrel of the normal sherman.

this layout help the sherman defeat the tigers.
