Helo,

Want ask opinion,

If I do money exchange service MYR to KRW for LYN members,
would you prefer to pay me through Maybank MYR before you fly, and when reach Korea, I give you cash? The rate will be set on the day you pay.

Or

You come Korea, I meet you at hotel or somewhere, then on the spot, you transfer Maybank MYR to me, and then I straight give you cash. Rate also set at that day.

What is the fees for money exchanger that you normally use?

I refer to xe.com and give out cheaper exchange rate than xe.com.
For example, now xe.com is RM1 = 270 won. I give cheaper rate at RM1 = 272won.
I think should be cheaper than any money exchanger in Malaysia..

Do you think my service is worth it or not?

Personally, when my family come, I just give them my Korean credit card, and let them swipe. Then, they just bank in Maybank after they go back.

koonghx Since we are all very new to this I think most would prefer option 2 for now but if only we have roaming (I usually don't) otherwise wouldn't be able to get the TAC to the transfer on the spot.

If you could give the rate you said then yes it is a very good deal for us and yes obviously better than any money changer in KL.

Question is can you meet whenever (say, 11am, 3pm, 9pm?) or wherever (only hongdae station? hw bt hotspot like seoul station/myeongdong station?)
*
Well.. You can just ask someone back in Malaysia to transfer it for you, if TAC is a problem. But I think receive SMS is free?

Yes, the rate is as I said.

Well.. If it's big amount, then any time, any where in Seoul is good as long as agree earlier.
I suggested Hongdae because it's where I live and the airport train stops there, plus every tourist go there anyway~

Will be leaving to busan tomorrow, any suggestions on which simcard to buy over in korea?

I think getting the broadband egg is cheaper for Internet.
Check a few pages back, there's a malaysian company that provides them for RM12/day

Is it worth going to the Garden of Morning Calm in winter?  Seems like transportation back to Seoul is a problem unless you join a private tour at KRW75,000 per person.

It's open and got lights but not worth it imo.
