QUOTE(LivingLife @ Jul 15 2016, 02:24 PM) I have edited some of my itinerary, does this looks better? Day 1Day 1 Myeongdong Namsan Park N Seoul Tower Gwangjang Market This one you need to timing correctly. After dinner at Myeongdong then go N Seoul Tower to see night view. Namsan Park is almost = N Seoul Tower since N Seoul Tower is actually called Namsam Tower sometimes Day 2 Hongdae + Trick Eye Museum Sinchon Ewha COEX Mall + Aquarium Gangnam Skip the Trick Eye Museum, it's a tourist trap. Can skip COEX Mall unless you wanna do shopping. However, if want shopping, Gangnam and Shinsa-dong 신사 are better places IMO. It depends on your "style" also. Abercrombie and Fitch has a shop at Shinsa and other foreign brands also at Shinsa area. Here you also might want to reconsider the timings. Morning at Gangnam area, then Evening/Night at Sinchon, Ewha then Hongdae. Day 3 Gyeongbokgung Gwanghwamun Cheongwadae Bukchon Hanok Village Insadong This is definitely too packed. Unless you plan 1 hour on each places. Day 4 Lotte Mart Namdaemun Itaewon Noryangjin Fish Market Better merge Namdaemun with Myeongdong since both are quite close and go to the Cheonggyecheon stream/river too. Itaewon better for at night. Noryangjin better during Winter ( not sure when you are coming though ) Day 5 Namisan Island Petite France Dongdaemun Cheonggyecheon Stream Dongdaemun, Namdaemun, Cheonggyecheon, Myeongdong are same area. While namisan, Petite france is outside of Seoul. Better whole day for Nami Islan and Petite France, then if you still have time at that day, then only go some other places. Day 6 Back to KL Myeongdong Namsan Park N Seoul Tower Gwangjang Market This one you need to timing correctly. While namisan, Petite france is outside of Seoul. Better whole day for Nami Islan and Petite France, then if you still have time at that day, then only go some other places. Day 6 Back to KL For shopping, 3 main types of brands: Not very cheap, sometimes cheap but Korea/Taobao clothes: Dongdaemun / Hongdae Cheap branded ( Zara, H&M, Who A U, Uniqlo, etc) - Myeongdong, Hongdae Higher-end brands - Gangnam / Hyundai Department Store / Coex mall Hongdae is mix of everything. So, I would suggest spending more time at Hongdae. They have cheap Korean local/taobao clothes, to branded like Bershka, Zara, etc, and also a MCM store in Hongdae Many restaurants there too. |

QUOTE(monev88 @ Jul 19 2016, 04:10 PM) Anyone walked/hiked along the Seoul City Wall? I understand there are a couple of sections and around 6 walls enclosing Seoul. Seoul City Wall.. almost never heard of it.Which section of the trail do you guys recommend? Preferably one with good views of the city and an interesting route. But I think you are referencing the ones near daehakno 대학로 ? Went there once, decent, but might not be worth it if you have a tight schedule. |

QUOTE(Amatiel @ Jul 26 2016, 10:29 AM) My understanding for SK mifi rental.... can someone confirm these? unlimited data can be connected for more than 3 devices (we are a group of 4) nationwide coverage (jeju too right?) they accept credit card for deposit (don't want to be bringing 200k back to msia lol) Is the return progress fast and swift? We will arrive at incheon at 7am via AREX, flight is at 9.35 https://www.skroaming.com/modem/modem_rental.asp#wrap QUOTE(yvonnesoo @ Jul 26 2016, 11:11 AM) Now all new Mifi units have LTE + 4G hybrid, so it works every where. Can consider olleh. https://roaming.kt.com/rental/eng/product/wibro.asp Online reservation then you get free device rental. Time is okay, as long as you take the first train of the day. Queue won't take more than 20 minutes normally. I ran to the gate with the staff before |

QUOTE(hye @ Jul 25 2016, 08:37 PM) Hi ... FYI Korean names are gender specific and they have a meaning attached to it. I've met Korean with names that doesn't have meaning because their parents don't know any Chinese characters. Some names are unisex. You can easily google for the common names that Koreans name their child. You probably have some idea on what you want to name your baby so it's best to start there. |

QUOTE(yvonnesoo @ Jul 27 2016, 11:21 AM) you are studying there won't be taking lotsa stuffs ma.. travelers usually bought lotsa stuffs and some like to buy airports duty free stuffs Huh, I take a lot of stuffs every time I go back, since I usually only go back once a year..so good. always my queue is long. i once reach airport around 4 hours earlier. queue for drop luggage and ticketing. then queue at the immigration.. so long especially if in front of me many koreans. they check very long as some done plastic surgery very extreme so on the screen shown lots of images kt olleh can use credit card as deposit too. Even brought a 27inch monitor back in my luggage lol Airport duty free is normally not as cheap as those that are sold in the city anyway, though there's the online duty free website that you order and pick up at the airport but those are mostly used for buying branded bags. I always use AirAsia morning flight and the queue won't be so long since it's early in the morning but have to wake up early lo Never knew about the cosmetics surgery and pictures though haha This post has been edited by koonghx: Jul 27 2016, 12:56 PM |

QUOTE(yvonnesoo @ Jul 27 2016, 01:49 PM) whoa.. you bought so much not afraid being tax once reach Msia Never got taxed before.. I put inside luggage along with clothes, and not like it's expensive enough to be taxed anyway~yea i seldom buy from airport duty free but i saw lotsa tourists buy especially PRC cause they have more discounts i get to know because previously my friends and i queue behind few koreans (different lane) and it took so long for them to check compare non citizen. so my friends and i wonder what the officer check. then we saw on the screen got those images. from before surgery to the latest image. if one done many surgeries, hence it will show up more image.. i saw before some got 2 pages The PRC are doing round trips every day. Some of them their job is to board a flight to Korea carry the things then go back on the next flight. On China airlines, their cabin luggage is unlimited as long as you can carry them |
