may i know anyone tried to cycle around in jeju? I am trying to find out is it possible with 2 1/2 days. Or should I go to the south,Seogwipo and from there rent a bicycle cycle to sunrise peak - Jeju bus terminal and return the bicycle there.. that is they allow me to return the bicycle from different location.

Anyone have recommendation where to rent a bicycle? tried to google around only found those in korean.
thank you.

I also planning to advance book KTX KR Pass online, after did some research and go throught their website seems like you can only book 1 month in advance, so if you plan to get for october, September only able to make the booking online.

Yeah I read somewhere online that we can only book one month in advance.

Yea, you can use it for unlimited times for 3 days, but where to you plan to go around in S.Korea?

SIM card charges are good there, not too expensive, it's only the limitation of the 3-days-stay that put a lot of ppl off. If there's a way around it or you found a carrier that allows use of it, please do let us know here.. =)

I think most Iphones and samsung supports it, we asked them about Sony while we were there and they just say "no no, no Sony"... *sweat*... haha

just want to ask, is it worth to rent olleh egg wifi? i'm going to seoul this end of oct. 1st timer.. just wonder is it worth to rent one? only use for 6days.

Hi, I would like to enquire whether there are any banks in Malaysia that sells Traveller's Cheque straight in KRW. The nearest bank at my workplace is Maybank and I have checked with them that they are not selling KRW in travellers cheque. I might not want to purchase in USD as I will suffer a double loss in forex loss. Any tips to get the best out of KRW from our ringgit?

If you are going in November, some of the ski resorts might not be open. They usually open in mid December onwards. Seoraksan is to the north and you need to go to Sokcho. From Busan you can take an intercity bus to Gangneung and from Gangneung another bus to Sokcho. You can stay overnight in Sokcho and hike up Seoraksan early in the morning to see the sunset. There are several trails so choose the one you like. The easiest one I think is about 2 hours hike up. As it is very cold please wear proper clothes. If it is snowing then I recommend using cleats as it can get really slippery.

If you want to do some sledding, you can head to Everland in Seoul. The sledding there is fun! Bear in mind, it may not be available if it doesn't snow since you are going, technically, in Autumn.

I did read about some not-so-friendly people, but hopefully I'll be lucky. Either way it would be a chance to experience something different. laugh.gif

No accomodations booked yet, will be mix and matching hostels, couchsurfing and jjimjilbang. Willl see which works out best for my itinerary. There's quite a few recommendations for hostels/guesthouse if you check this whole thread and the previous versions. rclxms.gif
