My sis-in-law is using hood with mesh filters as well. She seldom cooks. Even she cooks, also instant noodles only. When I touched the filter, it is so sticky. This filter is easily clogged with grease. No wonder the performance is poor.

if rajin wash the mesh filter, then performance not a problem. cheap and good

Induction only work on stainless steel pots, lower electricity consumption and faster heating but some say radiation (this i dont agree though)

hob market is getting competitive. there is no ultimate model. every brand keeps bringing out new feature. all demo is said and done by the seller.

use with care, overflow issue basically doesn't disturb the user. if one frequently faces overflow issue, one is said to be a messy user, agree?

Found a video in my laptop, as shown, the flame is adjustable to blue flame. There are some customers who called up and asked about the yellow flame and we do guide them how to adjust but never customers call up and complain yellow flame that could not be fixed. The hob originally is able to produce blue flame. From your comment, it sounds like all unit will produce yellow flame.

So, we can clearly tell the hob originally was blue and it is able to produce blue flame but could be slightly yellow due to several overflow which could be adjusted as shown

It will not auto shut off, most gas hobs come with Flame Failure Device and it will only shut off the gas if there is no flame not when overflow.

The GCG seal burner design is to prevent overflow from going into the hob. If the hob is wide open as shown in the sample, the spill will enter your hob and it might clogged up the nozzles as well. Even with seal burner design, i wont say the GCG series hob is spill proof but as tested several times at home and been using for 3 years+, my hob is still not clogged and still producing nice and strong blue flame. If you say your friend hob has minor yellow flame due to the overflow several times which could be rectified by adjusting the valve at the bottom, imagine what happen if the hob is wide open? Not just the hob is dirty in the inside which require removing of the glass to clean it, the nozzles could get clogged (no flame coming out at all)

if it is a brand new unit, check wiring is it 20amp direct wire connection, cannot use plug.

im using GCG 90201 hob, i suspect there are some leakage of gas from the hob, how do i troubleshoot? can i call fortile to come to verify?

my GAG76202 is almost 3yrs and just now give me some problem, which right side burner cant ignite and spark, even change a new battery still the same.
The sparkling sound keep come from bottom part instead of upper part! Need to ask technician to come and check!
