Overheating problem really ruins everything. Calling and browsing really gets uncomfortable.

Anyone that managed to resolve this issue?

I don't use other accessories besides the ear phone and even with that, I rather use it only when necessary.

UPDATE: Just successfully flashed India's 4.4.2 ROM on my I9500. Runs like a charm and I've provided some pictures(excuse the potato qualities).

If you can't wait for M'sian release, do it now smile.gif

What's noticeable is the change to white status bar icons from the green tone, and some third-party apps(Cut the Rope, Trip Advisor, etc...). There are way more tricks up KK's sleeves but I don't have the time to test them all. Oh, and the camera button shortcut on phone lock screen.

Still testing if any difference for the camera.

Still waiting to see if KitKat got any new critical problem before I begin download.

Anyone with installed official Kitkat, does 3rd party cover cause any problem (aka, the small info screen not appearing ala Note 3 initial update defect/or feature disable)?

I'm still using the Spigen Armor View, so need to know before installation.

Good morning.

I always charge my S4 when the battery reaches 2% or 3%.

Normally, I will charge it for around 3 to 4 hours maximum when the battery reaches the percentage above.

Is 3 to 4 hours enough to charge ? Or should I go to 5 hours ?

Lithium ion battery u don't need to charge at a specify percentage the more you charge the better for the battery. Just make sure you don't overcharge like leave it at 100% for too long. Long term the battery will spoil

Actually, most modern devices are capable of switching off charging after 100% charge and allow trickle charge if necessary. Lithium-ion battery has a predetermined life span the moment it leaves the factory. Use or not, it will expired around the end of its set life span. There is really not much of a long term for phone battery. Gives it 2 years, you will notice the battery charge goes down much faster no matter how great you jaga.

I always leave my phone charging overnight, you will notice after 100% charge, the phone cool down a lot. If you plug out too soon after 100% charge, it tends to discharge faster. That proof trickle charge does have its advantage. Since Samsung battery can be change, I would say, just use and charge it the way you find most convenient.

ps. Lithium-ion battery does not really like full discharge, tend to shorten the life of the battery faster.
