yup.. SEMS service is excellent. I sent for screen replacement on Friday about 230pm, technician said it is possible to get it by 6pm the same day. I did not able to make it @ 6pm, since Saturday they closed and Monday Im outstation, I collect only on Tuesday.. status check on saturday via web shows 'Ready for collection'.

After seeing the youtube video on Z1\Z screen replacement, it takes about 30 minutes to do it.. seems so easy.. when my Z1 is more than 2 years old later and the screen crack, I might just do it myself... the screen cost +- RM200 on ebay..

damn... should have sent my Z1 to SEMS... but don't have time to go to SEMS... my case... Sony Plaza Berjaya still waiting for Sony Malaysia feedback whether replace/free fix/pay for the fix.

I only encounter this problem when using those 3rd party magnetic cable. No problem so far using the ori charging dock

My guess is the quality of the cable or the metal connector which deteriorate over time.

The cable charges my phone no problem at all when I first bought it. Only face this problem recently.

The white filter that u mentioned is somekind of  yellow bar at the bottom of screen?

Final update at the moment regarding rooting .290

Only unlocking bootloader will give you ability to retain root.

Simply update to .290, unlock BL, flash custom kernels like monx, DoomKernel; go into recovery, flash supersu186.zip

done.

But for Locked BL i still have no luck thus far. (henpon baru balik kilang sudah tangan gatal )

what is the "N" logo beside the alarm ah? can remove it.? i mean on top rhe status [attachmentid=3801111]

Called Ixsun today... they are waiting for Sony Malaysia approval for free fix my water damage Z1... haihs...    seems have to bear for another week using the loaned X10

and it only happened after i charge with the magnetic cable i recieved from ebay. i already send them email how to rectify the issue since the cable is the one that caused the issue. the seller themselves say and included a paper with the shipping "if unsatisfied, kindly approach us first before you leave negative review"
