ATF used is not SP3 spec...so the clutch plates worn off.reapers also used the same atf like mine...his got minor slip already...

4 litre is on the minimum level at the ATF dipstick. i guess it is still safe because even the service centre said 4 litre.

if u pour in 4.5 litre, ur dipstick level will be in the region at the centre between max and minimum.
i pour in 4.5 litre sometimes.

waiting ckdenion about the filter in ATF, nobody change the filter for ATF service before.

2 bottle of SP3 kah or XP3. Now XP3 very hard to find. Maybe discontinued. Now car got used to SP3 since my last change over 5K mileage ago. Initially feel a bit draggy and more obvious gear change.

For me, XP3 will make gear changing less noticeable but SP3 still is the next best ATF (or only ATF guaranteed no issue. Don't want try others and take risk of damaging gear box).

Sure, those crazy sound experts or those very sensitive to noise might appreciate the difference.....mmm...gua nowadays a bit deaf liao due to the buka radio kuat kuat to cover car noise.

Wonder whether the bugger change a new air filter or at least clean the air filter at same time for each change.....do note those extra items also contribute to the noise.

They used this filter quite sometime liao....for 5K service, so go figure, that's why I recommend only 5-7k mileage.

Personally I don't like OEM especially RM5 ones. There is A LOT OF DIFFERENCE in FILTERATION MATERIAL inside. Oil Filter are meant to efficiently filter lube to minimize contaminant flowing in engine. Its not just for show only. It is almost as important as using a good lube but unfortunately most ppl ignore its importance.

I know got one buaya car 20K also no change oil. Inb4 PE cheapjing car.

I not so knowledgeable on filter, so on safe bet, use back Proton 1, not oem. Hamp brand gua tau, amp not sure ler...I did not even read the original one, just buy straight from SC and change outside.

There are performance filter outside. Not sure how they got performance into there. However some are long life filters that did better than the original. Unfortunately I don't know which one is compatible to ours and really is long life, so safe bet, SC.

Oil filter even when bought from SC is not expensive, only RM12.22, original air filter, Rm16.71. So just change oil filter every 5K and air filter every 10K. Less than RM30, peace of mind and great performance boost (in terms of no reduction in performance ala those used for double the period).

Can't do that for cars like Honda city tho...ni a ma...air filter cost RM70....have to last 20K. Oil filter RM30, double of ours.....last same 5K.

Ooii....air filter need change at lastest 20K mileage. If not, your performance suffers (that translate to decrease power and increased FC gradually, so won't feel until you change new one)....not worth the saving of not changing.

Since air filter pricing is quite affordable, changing at 10K really ensure optimum performance (at least from air flow) at most time, you can feel the engine going strong at all times, not just when change every 20K. Usually at abt 15K, air flows suffers liao, even blowing won't help. By 20K, its dirty, performance already affected for quite some time.

No wonder lah. My FS also 6 months usage give and take.

No need flush. 40K why need flush. The last time I change at 40K, sc used the same Proton ATF (gear oil) when changing my gear oil as well. Maybe a bottle or even less. I doubt they flush them, don't know can drain out or not.

It sure works coz my steering roboting whirling sound that have been bugging me since 30K disappeared after that.

Frankly, proton maintenance really quite affordable comparable with other brands, so I go SC buy to ensure original rather than spare part shop, mostly oem ones.

i changed to falken ziex-912 earlier last year..only 180 for thailand made, and 160 for Indonesian made... due to budget constraint i chose the thailand made, so far so good..to me it's good lah..... kedai papan klang.
