great to hear the pond still alive n kicking. had good memories there. once kena 4 cast 4 fish consecutively
nice place to release tension also. Small pond. throw near near also can kena. if ngam ngam kena the 'rumah' sure syiok

boil/soak the pellets with hot water first (not too long), then set it out to dry.
at one stage it will achieve a spongy consistency aka 'kenyal' which is what we want. then it will be easier to hook it.
some peram/perap the pellets with the flavors after boiling to infuse it so it remains longer.
just my 2cents, other kolam sifus might have diff techinques.

they are many settings depending on the pond. ive seen ppl using float even when windy, as long as the setting is correct.
also, the style of tying the 'perambut' varies from pond to pond.
plenty of pellets/dedak variants in the market, but the more popular ones are 6363 & 929 variants

it all depends on the target fish what flavouring is good.
additives like coconut, santan, etc are all subjective.
it takes plenty of trial & error to get the formula right. those who have it right wont disclose it easily
pond factor comes into play also, the formula for one pond may differ from another

which CR? haha. i back in borneo jor.

some catches from 'bush whacking' around:

oh the ones at rawang? on viox's request, CR at rawang toman pond. (RM100/4hour)
delayed CR (2 weeks ago) because kinda busy after back from kl.

4 of us went from 8am-12pm. i landed 2. another friend landed 3. rest no luck
on reaching the pond helpers told us toman not biting. nvm try luck nia. besides, we got the pond to ourselves the whole morning.
first hour threw all sorts of topwater plugs. nothing. very stocked small pond but the fishes i think like PhD or smth.
after that i switched to jerkbaits. kinda worked if u jerk rapidly. hooked up two within 30 mins with an x-rap

a friend also switched to jerkbait and landed 3 within 40mins. lagi hiong.
but then after 10pm the bite rates drop. the fishes sorta headbutt the lures only. got also foul hook and lepas
if wana go try go as early as possible. no need bother with topwater lures. try suspending minnows, jerkbaits and when it gets hotter, divers.
not sure if still open by may. they mentioned open for one month only

that commercial was full of win
