QUOTE(darks0r4 @ Feb 29 2016, 11:26 AM) Hi I went to Ruskijang last Sat and i was the only one there from 8am to 1pm and i didnt catch anything.I am staying at Taman Melawati. I wonder if there I a good fishing spot around here. Tried Kolam RushKijang before but it is catch and release.. I want catch and eat. Not even a single fish. The place is clean and comfirtable but the owners decided to make it into a haruan pond instead and didn't top up any fishes for a long time. At least they should stock some pacus or something but the owners decided not to. Wont go there ever again. |

QUOTE(Proclaimer @ Mar 9 2016, 03:14 AM) Well you pay per kg, so depends on how much you are willing to pay. Its only fun if you fish siakap with barbless blunt hook, else you pay through your nose. Thanks for the info. Its fun for awhile, then it gets boring. Dont bother with anything stronger than a 2-6lb rod CnR pond rarely get bites. The water is not free flowing unlike jurassic so fishes not as active. I plan to use an UL set (prawn set) to fish a few siakap. How much is the siakap per KG? RM17? |

QUOTE(Proclaimer @ Mar 9 2016, 07:44 PM) As light as possible I want to reach there as early as possible probably 11am. I dont think i will stay there long though. Probably 4-5 fishes and im done.Let the fishes run and jump(lift the rod higher) for them to throw the hook if you plan to stay there long. Last year it was still RM17, not sure about now. And do ask them to clean and gut the fishes for you. Save you alot of hassle. Only rm1 per fish. And leave before the sun vanishes, the mosquitoes there are crazy. And is there any bau tanah in their siakaps? This post has been edited by max_cjs0101: Mar 9 2016, 08:16 PM |

QUOTE(Proclaimer @ Mar 9 2016, 08:26 PM) Haha, its gonna be extremely hot. What was the average weight per fish when you were there? This one is pretty much up to your luck. If you get the new stock fishes then its quite clean tasting but if you get the "veteran" fishes there then you will have some smell because its basically muddy stagnant water. You dont need to buy any live baits. The fishes there will eat almost anything, but sometimes it will get quiet for awhile before they start to bite again. |

Quite many people. Mostly they bring families and kids
And oh, there's not many big size fishes left in the first and second pond. Mine was considered quite big if i compared with people there. This post has been edited by max_cjs0101: Mar 12 2016, 02:29 PM |

QUOTE(katsumoto2011 @ Mar 12 2016, 08:12 PM) Thats y when i got the jenaha i was like damn..QUOTE(Proclaimer @ Mar 12 2016, 08:53 PM) Haha, told you its very hot. I usually go in the evening. You should try grouper once. One fish 3kg + terus RM100+ Last time i went to another similar concept pond many years ago (kolam Black) in Banting but its now closed and it was very hot there too. Its very fun for beginner to get started with fishing. Cause bite rate very good There's 2 angmo today who fished for grouper and pulled up quite a big one. But later in the noon the siakaps were not really biting and mostly are small ones left. |

Guys, what braided are you using and how long does yours last?
I have a spool of Ajiking braid which i used for one time at the Banting siakap pond and its fuzzy on the first foot of the line. There's no nick or damage on my guides and rod so im wondering whats causing it. The same thing happened to another braided line where i use it at Seksyen 24. Rod tip and guides are fine so im wondering whats causing it and is it normal when used just once. As far as i know there's no contact with rocks when fishing in both ponds. |

QUOTE(Proclaimer @ Mar 26 2016, 07:40 AM) Closed a couple of years back to be a vegetarian shop. Apparently I heard a monk advised Aboy about the fishing business and that was why a vegetarian restaurant was opened instead But looks like the vegetarian shop is closed as well There are 3 more fishing tackle shops nearby within walking distance I only know of Hasya Joran where the owner is quite lansi. |

Wah so many high end stuffso last remaining 2-3 hour sure go behind big water machine there and aim monster mekong or at least the aligator gar. u use artificial bait got try change color ? this one the indon worker tell me 1. every season the monster mekong and the turtle there attracted to diff color each season. i go jigging there and only managed to bring up red tail even if i camp behind big water pam there. he say color not ngam but i already no more color to use wei. this my sotong gear. very faithful to me. my faithful 3000. pls dun caci me cheapskate ok ? i buy until today still no spoil so it remain faithful to me. my jiggers all color here i can tell u, is not suitable to up the monster mekong or the old waterfish in exotic. i dunno what shit color they want, i tried all before. so i prefer just stick to dedak, got higher chance. the gar will bite my little pink 18gsm. other than that, i try again the gar dowan to hue me. so it concludes, the monster mekong very picky go to school already graduate, and the gar i dunno mebbe missing or dead i not sure. but already 1 year + i didnt see ah gar liao. |
