has anyone toyed around with daiwa's t-wing baitcasters? welll i got a little something you guys to feast your eyes at
How good are they compared with the conventional ones? I hear they reduce backlash greatly as shown in some daiwa promo vids for comparison.
If there are any t-wing fans out there, hope you don't blow your wallets just yet, look what's coming in August !

I have a Tatula. Used it once to fish. The TWS is great. It improves the casting distance (in my opinion) and also reduces backlash.
However I found there is one downside. If you notice the TWS(reeling in mode), the hole is smaller(very small actually) compared to other baitcasting reels.
So, if you have a long leader, the knot will be stucked in between the hole either reeling in or casting. I'm using a 20lb line with a 30lb leader (FG knot). I've resorted to use a short leader, about 2 - 3 feet so the knot will be on my rod instead of in my spool.
Other than that, everything works great
