Plan to go banting rm 3 siakap pond at sunday
To test out the new reel and to get some fish for new year dinner
*
Careful leh bro. Better debard your hook. Make it blunt. My friend went there and spent like couple of hundred bucks. Coz the siakap caught all must tapau back and its weighed by kilo.

any reviews on rodford ryojin?
*
Read a few reviews from GNP in facebook. A guy went jigging with it and actually pull up a 7kg tenggiri with no problem at all. Another guy used it in Tiger5, no problem reeling up the longtans.

Nice reel IMO smile.gif

has anyone toyed around with daiwa's t-wing baitcasters? welll i got a little something you guys to feast your eyes at
How good are they compared with the conventional ones? I hear they reduce backlash greatly as shown in some daiwa promo vids for comparison.

If there are any t-wing fans out there, hope you don't blow your wallets just yet, look what's coming in August !

hitting blazing speeds at 8.1 equipped with five kilo drag ratio and a 1-200m capacity. The rest of the specs still undecided

I have a Tatula. Used it once to fish. The TWS is great. It improves the casting distance (in my opinion) and also reduces backlash.

However I found there is one downside. If you notice the TWS(reeling in mode), the hole is smaller(very small actually) compared to other baitcasting reels.

So, if you have a long leader, the knot will be stucked in between the hole either reeling in or casting. I'm using a 20lb line with a 30lb leader (FG knot). I've resorted to use a short leader, about 2 - 3 feet so the knot will be on my rod instead of in my spool.

Other than that, everything works great icon_rolleyes.gif

exactly,tq for your insightful post  but does the tatula have a free floating spool?
on the bolded part, which means...FG knots are a must for the TWS system, yep?
*
Not too sure about the free floating spool. FG knots are definitely recommended. But the other day I tried FG knot on a 30lb mono leader, it got stuck. Don't know my FG not nice or what. sad.gif

But if you prefer other knots, use a shorter leader, possible the knot ends right after the hole.

But if there's insurance for the item, you can't change the invoice. Else insurance will be voided. I read this somewhere in eBay.
