Try lures bro its more satisfying! tongue.gif

But if all else fails, frog or live guppies shd work
*
There are some predator fish there but dont know if people do casting there laugh.gif

QUOTE(katsumoto2011 @ Apr 17 2014, 01:16 AM)

bro care to mention what type of fish you aiming ?
yup j & j

they regular add in rohu so it quite nice to fish,

for seksyen 24 i suggest you get heavier gear go , if you use too light yes you can fight the fish for long time and is very fun

but not to mention your line will tangle with other angles, for regular angle they might even ignore you and play tug of war with you........
Do fishes take lures/fly/soft plastic there? Any fish would do thats why Im asking for some bait info, I see some use dedak/bread and earthworm?

Seen this indian group once, caught a whole load of rohu at J&J rclxub.gif

Bro if you wanna do casting can but only permit during early morning (6am+) later if people start coming you line might tangle to their.  So casting is not so recommended.

When are you planing to go to 24 ?
I m heading there this sunday, you wanna join ?
*
Right, weekend lots of people. Should go on weekdays rclxms.gif Then can use UL setup laugh.gif

Sunday? I might drop by to have a look. What time you going?

QUOTE(water_T @ Apr 17 2014, 08:22 AM)
my friend owned ajk baramundi.quite nice reel.he recommend me ajk new wahoo jigmax 3500 SE (will release soon) or take ajk hypermetal.
u mean not last long less than a year?

can recommend me good reel with max budget rm250?
*
To be honest ajiking reels are not good. For that budget you can go for Shimano elf or aernos. Much safer bet.

3ppl went for rohu hunting and we landed total 27kg of rohu and 1 tongsan.. 6-10lbs i dont thing is strong enuf for s24
u need stronger gear..
*
Thats not bad. thumbup.gif 20lbs gear should be good enough unless 15kg mekong grabs the bait. laugh.gif I dont want to winch the fish up with 40-50lbs gear like i see in some of the pictures shocking.gif

Ok.will go survey at tackle shop.how about daiwa or penn?i read some forum say daiwa last long while shimano a smoth reel.
Just bottom freshwater fishing. Normally river or pay pond.
*
daiwa or penn is good as well. It's more of a brand preference for some. Bottom fishing size 3000 reel would do, general purpose reel size.

Wow..quite ok that price range for ryobi ap.searching about ryobi ap power at pancing.net,most of them very satisfied & high recommended that reel
*
Price range not bad if you can get that price. Body quite solid but very heavy.

QUOTE(AlexNg87 @ Apr 18 2014, 10:42 AM)
prize range its fair enuf.. maybe ill check it out on the 2000 ...
*
Maybe its just me but the reel seems bulky for the capacity of the spool it has. I think Ryobi Slam is a better choice for abit more money, especially the new black colour, quite nice.

He is going vegetarian so i think not good if selling fishing stuff that harm fishes or something. You know some vegetarian means cannot harm animal directly or indirectly.

PG and XG does have a big difference especially for deep diving lures. The handle turn may seem insignificant but if you do casting for half a day you will notice that for deeper lures you need more energy to crank the lures.

You can slow down but the problem is in the cranking power. Unlike baitcasters where you can change to a longer handle for more torque, spinning you are stuck with the same handle biggrin.gif

Help me decide..which one better.ryobi ap power ii 4000 or ryobi slam 3000?
*
Slam overall have a smoother feel towards it but the body material havent been time tested yet, ap power feels more mechanical, rougher but the body should last.

My take, ap power if hunting for big fishes. Slam for casting lures.
