is it just me or all the videos o the knots are variant of FG knots?
Video by Einjahr is known as GT knot i think... i used this alot now rather than FG. the middle uni knot stops the line from slipping. Video by OlgaC4 is FG knot. GT knot if not done neat, might feel that lil bub going thru or sometimes stuck at the tip when retrieving in. |

I find USDM Shimano messing up the market.
2014 Curado is now lower than Chronarch CI4?? Features are too close and similar between the Curado & Chronarch CI4 & Metanium 2013 Curado E used to be the best value for money with Brass gears that are strong and lasting. Curado G made it all cheap now. Chronarch succeeded as "the new" curado with same specs only without the brass gears. Core was the MG version of CU51E/CH51E. Funny how they are still selling all the old ones and adding the new models with just new SVS infinity brakes and micro gears as the main new features. Both are great innovative upgrades... but as a buyer.. i get more confuse on where I should spend my money... Reel A B C D all similar,.. just CI4 or Alu body with some minor diffs like bearings and gear ratios or spool size.... HMMMMmmmm... what do you think ? |

QUOTE(Einjahr @ Apr 16 2014, 11:09 PM) hey guys, i got back today trying out some daiwa baitcasters and I'm just wondering. Zillion TYpe R - USDM I played around with the 'legendary' daiwa type r and its smooth and all but upon retrieving everything was OK except for the handle which seems to wobble abit while making a clinkity-clankety sound - weird went over and tried the J-dream and this piece of metal just sings seamlessly, smooth on the retrieve, and no dramas. The guy here says the handle play is a common design flaw in most daiwa bc reels, seriously? Any zillion type-r owners here? pretty disappointed with wot i found in the type-r, even the abu garcia elite ib was alot smoother and no handle-play at all. What do you guys think? Only features more BB and carbon handle compare to the normal zillion. Lighter weight andyesmm the cranking feels weird, notsolid feeling when handle being spun. J-Dream - JDM Solid feel, smooth! worth every penny spent. Unique ultralight weight duralumin spool only made for this model. Zillion is a very multi capable work horse reel. J-Dream . PE Special . HLC are among those worth keeping in your collection. Limited Editions like the 50th Anniversary or the TD Zillion 7,3 100 also worth keeping. Only some minor differences bwtn all the Zillions above,.. some comes with CRBB and some dont. Handles are different but mostly the spool set them apart. |

QUOTE(willer @ May 27 2014, 01:09 PM) Just a newbie question, I went to sekinchan last week and saw many puyu and tiny haruan(5cm) in their padi water path way. so I was thinking for another trip to sekinchan for fishing haruan. does anyone have experience fishing haruan in their water pathway? Weedless Top water frogs would be the best. Sadly i am just another city slicker,.. have got chance to fish in any tali air. |

QUOTE(kayent @ Jun 20 2014, 05:55 PM) Quite boring actually. No Daiwa exhibitor. Main attraction was Tackle source with full Major craft display. Shimano biggest booth showcasing all their reels. And that about it,.. left in an hour or so. |

QUOTE(Einjahr @ Jul 10 2014, 07:42 PM) Yeah? Quite surprised that its now very rare to find a brand new model nowadays. None of the online stores have it, buy what lightweight, finesse saltwater daiwa equivalent would u suggest? Long time hiatus. Alphas no longer in the market. Purple 103, Type F, Tye R all obsolete liao Now only Alpha Finesse buts its for FW only. Would suggest to get the Zillion PE or the new upcoming Morethan PE SV (tatula PE) For light SW game the KOHGA 100 (similar to alphas body) Best to go here to view the bass FW and Salty BC reels. http://all.daiwa21.com/fishing/item3/reel/bait/index.html |

Sharing some sad news, 3 lives lost at Kuala Selangor after they went out on boat for prawn fishing.
Those of you who cant swim or think you can swim, please put on safety vest. Never know what you may hook up especially at estuarine areas, slaty crocs fav places. SOS https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=626...f_t=photo_reply |

aiseh,.. i missed all drama.
There are not right or wrong method for fishing HAHHA just a matter of what bait you use and how you use em to get what sort of fishes. THose on lure fishing are usually hooked to the thrill of the first wham and pull. On bait fishing,.. that split second of fun is gone when you run to your rod to set hook. Lure colour/type/size does play a role on getting fish vs going back empty handed. A lot got to do with presentation. I think RuneX experience a lot of wild fishes where fish are not that particular with bait/lure because they have not get caught. Where most of us goes to pay pond or even recreational ponds, most of the fishes have been caught and release many times that they are smart enough to be picky on what to bite. |
