Bc for casting very nice and accurate. For jigging not so versatile.

Bail release on spinning better easier. Less Chau mai fun. The last thing u want is bird nest when on a rocking drifting boat waiting for being or intermediate angler.

Overhead reel nice but not really suitable for pond. Direct drop like jig or bottom fishing can la.

That's why most versatile is spinning reel. Can use to cast, can bottom, can jig. Spend less money buy so many setup. 1 spinning settle all conditions. Only when turn pro then buy la more specifics reel.

i just went deep, off yan couple of weeks back.
2d1n easy trip with few friends.

dropped in my unused leobrtiz 500.

came back tangan kosong. mabuk laut abit coz of the beer and the shit music my friend blast on his cacat handphone.

2d1n = 48 hours of non stop fishing and caught nothing......absolutely nbothing.

not sure. spot is more or less there, umpan more or less there. got live bait using selar which we apolo up near shore, then got cut bait and frozen bait. i even use my ayam berempah as bait from my nasi lemak. nothing. all 6 ppl go all 6 empty handed.
