Yeah, Mine Hepa filter are high grade one which capable to filter as small as 0.009 microns. Not big, and is around 2 feet height but weight around 11kg iinm. Warning indicator are easier for me to keep track rather than check it manually since got sensors to do the job for me. tongue.gif

Actually Hepa filter are quite expensive one even is low grade like those using inside Vacuum one. Somemore you so long only change once, consider very worthy already. biggrin.gif

Ok. I buy your mindset then. Like this I better get it directly from Sharp then. Else use vacumn cleaner to further clean it up.
I just want to minimize the dust and the Ionizer kills the bacteria for me. biggrin.gif

There are too many air purifiers in the market.

Anyone can tell me which one is better among Sharp, Coway, Alen, Blueair and what are the difference.

Thank you.

Many of you ask the same questions so we have listed the most important items you need to consider before buying your 1st or subsequent air purifiers. Note that only 5% of the brands offered in this region offer H12 HEPA filtration which will capture dangerous particles set at the PM2.5 level to start and only a couple will do it at an efficient rate to move your air quality into a safe zone.

If you want to know if your air purifier is working you should significantly feel the difference even if for only preventative needs. If you suffer from Allergies or Asthma or respiratory problems, these symptoms should basically be relieved within 48 hours if you've chosen a top air purifier. Finally, if the brand or salesperson cannot show you the benefit of the air purifier in a real demonstration using a digital particle counter, how will you even know it's really working. Don't be a victim of marketing or payment plans just to get you the product offered. The PROOF must be offered!

At the very least, if you do not wish to do your homework carefully and follow a good guide like the below, then focus on buying air purification solution from companies who ONLY FOCUS on air purification. Remove companies which offer multiple electronics, sell at retail level with very little in-store knowledge and look to companies that supply to the medical/commercial/corporate office clean air solutions level.

Good Luck, choosing the right Air Purifier can be exhaustive but not if your informed and educated!

Choosing An Air Purification Solution!

The following are the key point when making a smart decision;
• Minimum Filter Requirements (H12 Grade Certified HEPA) which sets the capture capabilities of the filter to the fine particle level as described under the EPA/WHO PM2.5 standard (0.3-2.5 microns).
• Total System Efficiency (TSE) which is a function of how well the air purifier performs using the above H12 HEPA filter. This is of absolute importance when processing ambient particles far exceeding the allowable limits so you, under all circumstances, are within the safe/acceptable levels. To handle the air quality in Malaysia, look for 98%+ efficiency ONLY.
• Coverage – Each air purifier has as SQFT/SQM maximum floor area coverage. This is a function of Air Flow, Speed and relates to performance based on how many air exchanges per/hr the unit can delivery. Don't be fooled by false coverage claims and make them test to support these claims.
• Duration to Safe Levels – This is a function of time (duration) of which an air purifier can initially process an un-purified space to a safe level.
• Noise – For spaces occupied by humans and where noise levels are important for the health and comfort of your teams, acceptable noise levels measured in dB are critical. Note that for air purifiers to perform as stated above, higher motor speeds are needed and therefore cause unacceptable noise levels.
• Power Consumption – With energy costs rising and with numerous deployments (# of units) within corporate spaces, this is another very important factor.
• Safety – Related to the design and emissions of air purifiers trust only the top brands/suppliers to delivery on safety. Make sure the unit is RoHS compliant and meet the highest California Air Research Board (CARB) standards for lead free, ozone safe operation in the world.
• Initial Cost – While cost is not the only key measure when specifying an air purification solution, it’s obviously an important one so having both the cost per unit, cost per SQM of coverage and flexibility to right-size the complete solution is Smart Choice!
• Ongoing Cost – Now that you’ve procured your solution, the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is in most cases as important as the initial event.
• Warranty – When procuring an air purification solution, the warranty of those devices based on the delivery of safe, purified air is crucial to your team health.
• Ease-Of-Use - An air purifier by design should be intuitive and furthermore communicative as it relates to its function. Choose brands which lead industry in this respect with the cleanest and clearest designs in the industry. Furthermore, choose a brand which offers the Best-In-Class Technology.

Finally, how many times have you heard of someone buying an air purifier and NOT seeing results related to the reason they purchased it? Almost always if they admit it! How often do you hear about consumers unable to find replacement filters for their air purifiers? Consumer Air Purification brands have short Life-Cycles and therefore your air purifier could only have a shelf life of 2-3 years if not supported by an AIR PURIFICATION ONLY BRAND!

Premium Air Purification brands in Malaysia are scarce at best but they do exist and they do offer LONG Life-Cycles and associated filter replacements for many years. Most 5 years+, some even longer so that the cost of buying an air purifier that actually works which you will reasonably pay more for will likely cost you less year than the cheaper consumer brands which really offer little relief.

Also need to check your room size, need to check CADR to match your requirement.

QUOTE
Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) is a figure of merit that is the cubic feet per minute (CFM) of air that has had all the particles of a given size distribution removed.

Actually very simple, Atmosphere are a very good premium golden standard guildeline to pick an air purifier. So if you looking for cheaper or lower budget alternative. Should also follow the Atmosphere standard.

Like for example. Does it have HEPA filter, how many micron? etc and more..

Scroll back few posts before got one person post a keypoint to choose:

Which Sharp model are you looking at? Maybe you can check whether it is AHAM certified here.

In case you're asking what is AHAM.

Im using model SHP-FUA28EW now need to change filter.
But check around mostly selling about RM200++ thats about 1/2 of the new set price.
Why does the filter so expensive?

Is there any cheaper alternative?
