QUOTE(davidke20 @ Dec 22 2013, 03:53 PM) Responsible repairer: what a long process.. Drill a hole on the kemek part, screw a long bolt on the hole. Heat up the entire area(ofcourse need to pull out everything inside the car), then pull the bolt so the kemek part will come back out. Once everything is in place, proceed with welding to patch up the cracked area. Finally, grind off extra welded surface, apply fiber patch on the surface. Sand it off until surface is smooth. Apply primer, spray paint. Oven bake dry. Irresponsible repairer: Cut the entire rosak area out. Get a piece of metal plate, T weld it on. Grind off extra area. Apply patch, sand off surface. Apply primer, spray paint. DIY: Go bai saisket, double sided tape. Drill 2 extra holes on both front/back fender to further secure the new saisket. Gaodim since u're from Ipoh, can recommend where to repair it? QUOTE(davidke20 @ Dec 22 2013, 05:03 PM) Long process? That is small matter, can be done within same day if you send in the morning, probably can collect car in the evening. However though, if claim insurance, usually you're going to have to wait for Yes, going to claim insurance since that fella will have difficulty to compensate me since he's just a worker at GP food court..1) Claim registration(1 week waiting period usually, despite bank negara say 2 days) 2) Adjuster survey(Another 1 week usually, despite bank negara say 1 day after claim registration) 3) Police report(within 2 weeks from accident, consider you reported on the same day after accident, and u did went to workshop for claim registration). 4) Repair time(usually another week and above, despite PIAM ady ruled 1 week maximum regardless how bad the condition is) So, basically motor insurance claim, the limit of days to be spent on workshop shall not exceed 21 working days(by law la). I'm sorry, you're referring to what as long process? If 10 years ago, you'll see a blue color KE20 going side ways on that road 4~5am. That's when I finish work from Pengakalan going through Menglembu, hitting Taman Mas and using that road go home. You're lucky only a bike hit you. Can't imagine if you kena hit by my KE20 From the angle you're turning, u should be heading to GP foodcourt direction. Keep driving straight, u will pass through new indian temple on the left, keep going straight at the cross junction. After that, u will pass by 1st garden industrial area. After industrial area is a small river, cross that river immediately on the left is mamak(teh ais damn nice), on the right under tree got say (HI TECH ENTERPRISE), that's my regular magician when ayam in Ipoh. Once u turn right, immediately 1st lot on your left is a makat/paint shop - Assuming you're not going to claim your insurance. However, if you're going to claim insurance, please call your insurance company to find out which panel workshop is more reliable and whether it's near to your house. I thought will have to wait very long since it's almost CNY.. 1st time encounter accident only after 7 years of driving.. dont know much.. 2-3 weeks consider long for me.. police report has been made 30 mins after the accident.. tmr will take the report and pass it to my agent.. since i'll be claiming insurance, what will happen to the rider? the bike he was riding belongs to a dead person which he borrowed from a lady, he himself is without license You're correct that i'm heading towards GP, just dropped off my gf and thought of going home to have a nice sleep but.. considered very lucky since the bike was already tilting when he crashed.. if straight head on i believe the window would be smashed and my friends behind would have injured too.. definitely will ask the insurance company to find a reliable panel workshop for me.. sigh..
