First of all, try open ur Mail (Apple default mail), at top click add account, then insert your google account. Does its work? For me I dont have any problem adding google account to apple mail. Hope its help

I am in the midst of shopping for a Mac... I like the size and weight of the 13 inch mbp... but I need the power of the 15 inch.... Is the 13 inch spec sufficient for gaming and video editing ar?? I am a home user, but i use it for editing HD videos on and off.. The thought of it not having an additional graphic card scares me alil... that i might not be enough

bros just bought an mbpr 13" with mavericks, should i upgrade to yosemite ?

I sync my company gmail account just for calendar to my MBP. Emails i just use web. Can save some storage space by this way i think. Because no need to download all attachments in the emails.

I would like to add more ram to my macbookpro retina. Currently on 8gb. Need more as when I have Parallels open it lags a bit. Anyone know where to get it installed in KL?

Yeah it is sad that the RAM's are no longer upgradeable. But I guess these are the sacrifices you make to get a lighter and smaller laptop.

I'm facing another problem regarding to the update to 10.10.2
The download speed of this package is super slow, it take up to 6hours to download completely(according to the estimation)
Any sifu can teach me how to download it at a decent speed?

Really does depend what you are going to use to edit videos in the first place. What were you using before this?

Yosemite is the latest OS, but it is a work in progress. You do run the risk that some things don't work right after the update, you may borked things up that you need to do a clean install.

Then again, it is the latest OS, so the support should be better than Mavericks for now.

Unfortunately, the download speed is a combination of many things. Depending on your connection, I have gone as far as resetting my streamyx line (to get a different IP/connection) before I got to a faster one.

Anyone got issue when updating their rMBP? Normally installing updates very fast one. Then don't know why today sibeh slow.
