QUOTE(SJ Chua @ Dec 30 2014, 12:02 AM) hello guys, I have something to ask here regarding my 2014 MBP retina 13"... ever since I bought it sometimes it suffers from "random sleep" (i.e. using halfway screen turns black no response, need to wake from sleep, typically takes about 10 sec to resume from random sleeping mode)... I searched Apple forum online and called the Apple Support, did the reset SMC thingy 2-3 times but recently this issue happened again, very annoying... do u guys think this is software bug or hardware fault? also wanna ask for my case does it qualify for exchange new one? using MBP so far so good only frustrated by this problem, previous late 2012 unit doesn't even have such issues T_T Maybe it's a glitch with new software that you installed recently ? Have you tried reinstalling OS X ? Anyway, can you run the command below in Terminal and tell me what is the hibernatemode value ? pmset -g | grep hibernatemode

Reinstalling OS X will help if it is OS problem.

I am not familiar with ccleaner. However what memory clean does is that it captures all those unused RAM and feeds it back to the notebook for the next operation. Its easy to use and when you need maximum ram available to open an extensive software.

Hi all, just today my MagSafe 2 stopped working. I suspected the fuse might have blown thus I changed the cable to the 3 pin... and I see spark when I turned it on and after that the fuse seems to have blown!
Its out of warranty now, not sure if this is a common issue? Its late 2013 model.

If you can see sparks emitting from usage, better get yourself another new adapter. All things fail, sooner or later unfortunately.

Guys
Anyone tried MBP Retina 13 with ext HDD on both USB ports ( left n right )? Left one seems to be able to read pendrives / printer / usb charging however ext hdd NTFS / FAT is not readable via the left USB. On the right, yes it acts normal.
Have even tried on MBP Pro 13 on demo at several outlets. Wondering y?

I hook up 3 pen drives, ext hardisks and also Maxis broadband on both left and right subs without accounting issues like this. Probably there is another issues elsewhere that is making your rMbp behaving like you have described.
