Same as mine, but not always happen. Sometimes hear the voice hollow sound... Just us having these issues?  mad.gif

no issue here. if suspect mic issue, may try recording app. call qualities issue too subjective, might be coverage area or telco issue. unless you can get other N5 set side by side to compare with same telco.....

Did you guys notice that N5's LTE speed a bit cacat? Same location, same telco with Note 3, HTC one, iPhone 5s and Nexus 5. All got about 30Mbps download speed except Nexus 5 got only ~15Mbps.... sad.gif
*
no, you're may only alone. I can get 41-45Mbps easily. should able to get higher if I go to center of LTE coverage area. BTW, there is a speedtest screenshot from forumer, get 71Mbps I saw before, but forgot which device, telco and area.

*
most of my friend who using note 2 all upgraded to note 3. share your opinion, why Nexus 5 but not note 3? note 2 screen size bigger than Nexus 5, most of ppl will get bigger screen size, your thought.

welcome to the club!

Why nexus 5? Cause my Note 2 encounter SDS (Sudden Death Syndrome), common problem for S3 and N2. Motherboard need replacement which cost a bomb!

Disappointed with samsung so i tot why not a change? Nexus 5 is appealing to me as I do not wan to spend 2.2k for a phone anymore which only last 14months.  mad.gif

Nexus 5 design is more sexy den n3 brows.gif

So far yes i do miss the big screen on n2 sometimes but now i can handle the phone n5 with one hand easily.
*
I feel you bro. I have the same expectation; for me, every phone I purchased, must be at least serve me 2 years.

I was using Galaxy note and was flashing custom ROMs and kernels hoping to make it buttery smooth. Now that I have switched to N5, I don't know what to do. It is already buttery smooth as it is. I am currently on cataclysm taking advantage of the additional features over stock. So guys...what should I do with my phone? lol
*
haha, if you troll this in note thread, you know how they feel, LOL. what's next? try find out how even can N5 save more juice. related back to kernel and UV tweak.

Any rooting method that doesn't trigger the binary counter?

Might wanna save more juice nod.gif

And another complain is the notification panel, I don't want to keep using 2 fingers to bring down the toggle window which is almost impossible for 1 handed operation
*
there is several way to root, just pick 1 you comfortable with.

for rooted user; custom rom already have 1 fingers sweep to view quick setting/toggle windows since long time ago, either sweep the left edge or right edge, your call. (I picked right edge of course, more make sense).

alternative, for unrooted user can install 3rd party launcher like Nova, create toggle shortcut icon on your home screen.

Price wise, xtreme guard of course. $7 (including) for 2 sets of SP. Mind you, this is wet application and a bit rubbery from what I've read.

Protection wise, I think H+. But that is double the price. Garage sale has it for RM55.

So up to you what you're looking for.
*
I used xtremeguard before in my previous device. yes, may say bit rubbery, or in other words, not so butter smooth when sweeping. as later I found other wet SP, which is XOskin surface more butter smooth when sweeping than xtremeguard. it's may only happen on me, maybe not happen on others.

The connectivity is there, but maxis set a speed limit for 500mb user?

Like now if we over the quota, maxis slow down our data speed...even in area with H.
*
let's wait for 500mb user feedback the speedtest result.

I'm afraid stock rom dont have such feature but wireless charging got sound if not mistaken, correct me if I'm wrong.
*
if I remember correctly, yes that's no tone when plug in for stock rom, and also my current custom rom also the same. and yes, wireless charging got sound by default. waiting for my nexus wireless charging pad delivery rclxm9.gif . there is a xposed mod to disable/enable that wireless charging tone too if don't like.

Q: Is the official wireless charger pad from Google worth buying? or is it better to purchase 3rd party wireless charger?
IIRC, no tone/sound for stock rom, most custom ROMs have this feature though.
Yes, wireless got sound nod.gif
*
depend on the output ampere you prefer. official wireless charging pad spec is 1.8A. so far rest of 3rd party wireless charger I saw, the output ampere are lower.
