now I only know there is a mod can enable you to apply icon packs into any launcher, specially stock launcher do not have ability to change the icon. Unicon

same thought here, unknown brand wireless charging might degraded the battery. better get reputable brand. I'm waiting for my nexus wireless charging pad. where you ordered yours and how much?

Don't really matter I guess, the charging speed is almost the same as charging via usb 3.0. I am doing some tests, will post the results once done. Also the higher the amp, the hotter your charger will be I assume? I am no engineer so if someone could clarify this would be awesome lol.

But it's ok bro, it's just my own personal preferences and I'm don't take to risk. it's your device, you make your own decision... difference ppl difference choice, no need to follow who or how, and nothing to say true or false.

If your device is faulty, by all means, send it back to get a good one, but sending a good device just to get "A NEW VERSION" that isn't really a new version, just manufactured a month later is just dumb and sad.

tl/dr: until someone shows me a new HW VER version (different from my rev_11) I don't believe there's a new version just because of 3 pics. And EVEN if there is indeed a new version that's no reason to send a device back if your device is working fine.

few things we can do to prevent biggrin.gif
1) use military type super protection casing + glass SP
2) nth much, just be careful from water damage
3) reduce the physical buttons usage, use S2W/S2S
4) reduce port usage, transfer file wirelessly, charging wirelessly

first ever thing we need to know, rooted or not?
if rooted, checklist for you:
1. while phone in idle, phone in deep sleep mode?
2. wakelock is the most battery drain cause, check first page for details.
3. read the tips link from TS on how to improve battery life, in few pages back.

if non-rooted, I have no idea except factory reset, wait other sifu advice.

It's standard in nexus. once unlock bootloader, will automatic run factory reset after boot.

franco is good, better battery life than stock. I'm now using ElementalX for more extra feature I need, such as sweep2wake, etc...

this is root required app, many useful app work on Nexus 5 I know all are root required.

I don't have much experience on stock ROM unrooted; beside factory reset, only thing you can do is uninstall those high battery suck apps, turn off GPS and Location feature turn to battery saving mode, disable wifi/bt/data when not using, turn off google now, hot word detection(no more OK Google), turn off location reporting and location history.

slightly battery juice sacrifice for sure but is really really very minimal. furthermore, dev also give tips when phone going for long idle or you going to sleep, just press the power button to sleep will disable it. save battery. only 1-2% for mine overnight.
