hi guy,

Lately i feel that my mid not that powerful. Wonder if it is the aviano 6 and klipsch neutralized the mid. Make the vocal sound less punch.

Anyone can share their setting on this?

Thanks.

You mean you feel a difference of 7 points for AVR and IA system for music quality?

P/S your recommendation for 2 best mid-range sound systems?

Yes that is right. Is a lot of different. For AVR you can go for like A850. For int amp you can try out marantz

ms aviano 6 u can start from remove jumper link behind & change to short length copper spkr cable.
play the binding post arrangement will improve too

klipsch rb51 is reference model, quite flat eq design.

Did some hunting on the web.

The A850 is for audio and video. So for watching movie, use that?

For music, use only IA?

I guess it is possible to have separate dedicated video and audio systems (instead of AVR) to watch video concerts? I guess costs here will be very high.

Cheerio.

best bet if you wanna have all in 1 system is get high end/flagship AVR,example marantz 70xx,pioneer LX8x,yamaha a30xx or denon x62/x72

Well the A850 is an AVR so definitely anything with video including concert is ok. Of course for pure music only is to use IA. Yup this is definitely costly but is the way to go or just get the AVR and uses it for both, just have to sacrifice the music with this. I own the A3050, although the dac inside can even support DSD but the sound is total rubbish when playback just music.

i would say, see the codec needed. dolby, dts surround must decode by avr.
music disc (no video & codec) just need rca output to integrated amp.

My mistake, the mid I feel less punch is aviano 5. It is cover by aviano 6 and reference rb51. Am thinking should I change the mid to klipsch or mezzo 5?

IF compare with aviano 6 and klipsch rb51, I feel that klipsch with more punch in high and low freq. Should I double drive my aviano 6(with remove the jumper? the manual seems like do not encourage to remove the jumper if not mistaken)

FYI, I am using monster XP cable for all. I think this should be good enough. Still have 50 feet roll of the monster cable. I remember that I paid USD 40 for the 50 feet cable in US.

Thanks.

My plan is as follows.

I bought an entry Onkyo AVR some 10 years ago. Was planning to get a mid range system for movies and music.

Plan is to get the higher end AVR, not the latest model, maybe one or two models before the latest. Cheaper mah. Quality and technology will still be better than the latest mid range AVR. Correct?

Cheerio.

Depend on what you want ? If you don't need atmos, than can get older model to save some cost
