QUOTE(lionelzc @ Jul 9 2016, 11:11 AM) Hello sifus, I am a noob to home theater stuff and want to ask a question about HT audio. if ur receiver can see input status, will be clear.I am currently using a cheap no brand av receiver with 5 speaker setup (no subwoofer) with astro byond and blu ray as output to the lg plasma tv with optical out to the av receiver. astro byond---hdmi---> tv----optical out (PCM)--->optical to rca converter--->av receiver-->5 speaker blu ray player-hdmi---> The question here is why does my speakers sometime output to 2 or 5 speakers eventhough optical PCM can only support max 2.0ch? It's not really a problem but I find it a bit consistent when changing channels. I have tried using a 5.1 test video via blu ray and confirmed it's not true 5 ch output. Edit: Forgot to include optical to rca converter possible got dolby prologic (emulated surround effect) |

QUOTE(skeelee @ Jul 10 2016, 09:52 AM) The drivers are subject to vibration, a lot of it, and the bolts become loose. You will be surprised how loose some the bolts have become over time. thanks for the info from u 2 sifus.seller has provide allen key in sealed plastic, so i think its about time to adjust once. instruction say screw in until bolt touch casing, then a 90' tighten will do. kautim This post has been edited by ktek: Jul 10 2016, 11:13 AM |

QUOTE(jamesleetech @ Jul 11 2016, 05:26 PM) Addition... used unit. good guessing.Oh... almost forgot. If you do test with the plugs, do NOT insert too much into the port because it will be difficult to remove the plug if it "drops" inside the "hole". sound is satisfy but i suspect not burn in yet. i got the port plug included, testing tonite. will be careful wont jam the sponge deep |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jul 15 2016, 04:26 PM) You know the funny thing is, microidiots actually had a very decent audio stack with Win XP? But they JUST have to decide to destroy everything with Vista, 7 and partly 8. 8.1 improved the audio stack in windows a little bit, 10 is more or less what 8.1 did but more streamlined but still isn't as robust as WinXP was. was it kxmixer.sys thing? that time i crazy for audigy cardAnd yes, the original fat PS3 that was launched (60GB and 20GB models) actually had decent audio playback with SACD support. |

qed qunex purple (rounded stiff one) vs tesco, can listen the difference clearly. the cheap one win from audio section, especially when u playing mid-slow tempo songs. voice stand out as my other system, counted as accurate.
video right on sharpness 0 and contrast able to push high, no clipping white that happen to qed. when compare to wireworld ultra violet 7 (flat type), has no run in yet. the video is blur at sharpness 0.... audio is very dull. tried both direction for few hours, then return to owner (im just tester) |

MA bx1 require toe in, possible due to bullet dust cap design.
didnt put on the sponge plug after test. they have plenty rear space to breath. i put them wide apart 2 meter, set to large without sub. right now very good as it should, hope tweeter can run in faster |

u calibrate both to 75db.... sure over power u may try use a y splitter to calibrate first, then adjust the same db to sub 1,2 i use ear to find the correct crossover by playing 1 setting per day. This post has been edited by ktek: Aug 3 2016, 04:34 PM |
