im wondering which harddisk is best for HT movies and whether you guys use any NAS system.

hi guys, any of you try the 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos setup with only 5 speakers + 1 sub-woofer? which mean the front speakers (both left and right) got another speaker facing upward to fire the sound toward ceiling...any comment for this setup? my house living room is not big, wish to change my current Yamaha RX-V671 to another new model of receiver with capability to support 4K HDR + Dolby Atmos

any other option available other than mouth the speaking on ceiling? 

i heard if install speaker either on ceiling or wall, then have to configure the speaker as "Height speaker" instead of "Atmos speaker" (configure in receiver)...if this is the case, it still consider as Dolby Atmos? it become like 7.1...

Actually i was going to start a new thread but seen this topic quite related to my question.

I have been reading lots of articles saying Apple Music Lostless is playing really good quality sound.

my question how to have the best set-up for connecting iphone/ ipad/ macbook air to my hifi system in order to re-produce good sound quality?[SIZE=7]

I've been reading and seen following suggestion from website:
1) AirPlay, need Apple TV
2) To connect using apple "Lightning digital AV adaptor"
3) some other 3rd party accessories.

So far, I got the info from website that connecting with Airplay via Apple TV is the best solution.

I just wondering do all of you playing using Apple Music? Watching Netflix? or still remain to Blu-ray player and CD player for musics and movies?

my set-up as following:

TV Model : Toshiba 32" (from 5 years ago)
Amplifier : Harman Kardon AVR160
Front Speaker : JBL
Center Speaker : JBL
Surround Speaker : JBL
Subwoofer : JBL
Interconnect/Cable : recommendation from hifi shop. about RM800 for 4 speakers wire

Now I have another question about connectivity.
My Harman Kardon AVR160 is HDMI 1.3a.
I’ve read that not support 4K.
That’s mean if I connect Apple TV 4K to AVR160, then video signal 4K will not pass through to my 4K TV. Right?

How should I connect?

I’ve checked that most TV ARC HDMI do not support 5.1 surround. Only Stereo.
With your recommendation mean I lost the high quality sound, right?
Any other solution to this?

this is one of the reason i choose the Klipsch R-41SA, it is certified Dolby Atmos speaker which able to used either for up firing or front height.  I tried it for up firing (place on top of my RP-600M) for 1 week, not satisfy at all....then only mounted as front height, sound effect for Atmos and sound stage improved alot!  but of course, ceiling still the best (cannot forgotten after try in the shop  )
