QUOTE(akim45 @ May 17 2014, 07:12 AM) Hi all, just got my altis 2.0v yesterday, but shockingly, the SA told me servicing intervals are every 5k after the 10k period. Means 1k-5k-10k-15k-20k-25k-30k n so on...even for semi syn oil have to go every 5k..is this really true??? I thought servicing is every 5k for semi-synthetic and 10k for fully synthetic. Did you ask if you could use fully synthetic instead?

The SA said if fully synthetic, the interval will b 10k..but, I really thought it was 10k if semisynthetic oil...Any new altis user has a copy of servicing schedule please attach here..We could benefit a lot from it.

It's quite common knowledge that semi-synthetic oil has a regular recommended servicing interval at 5k to 7k irregardless of type of vehicle.

akim45... After 2 years you finally settle on Altis... congratulations on the 2.0v 1k 5k 10k and every 10k after. Diesel is 5k interval though. Can use any TGMO (Toyota Genuine Motor Oil) be it mineral semi or full. Entirely your choice. Check your user manual or with Toyota hotline. Your SA BS you. For me, mineral for 1k 5k. 10k onwards semi cos price difference is small. This post has been edited by hjack: May 17 2014, 06:03 PM

Fully is 10k interval. I opt for fully during first service but the SA said not worth, ask me to get semi because need to come back at 5k for second service. Now my mileage only 2k since got the car on January.....lolll

Torsion beam suspension not really comfortable. Multilink, from my ex Wira, is as good if not more comfortable than this Altis.
