So guys thru ur experience what is da best 5w-30 oil u using for better engine oil instead of 0w-20..which brand??
Pls do share ur point of view..
*
though Spoon produces their own engine oil for Honda but Ichishima-san stills says that Honda's own engine oil is sufficient.. using back Honda's semi-syn is sufficient unless you wanna go for aftermarket.. personally I've tried Liquimoly.. really good but I still went back for Honda's engine oil..

Also because 0w20 that for some reason specified for malaysia, Hondas is soo much cheaper. other brands easily cost 200 for 0w20.
*
I wont recommend fully on our LEA15 engine though.. it is too light.. good for those who wants to hypermile.. heavy footer like me, better stick to semi..

Calvin, after our conversation last week.. im assuming that your rear scrubs during large dip.. and as an alternative u might wanna have your rear fenders rolled up or grind a bit of the screw heads..

before u do so.. check on the screw heads on the rear fenders does it have the rubber residue or worn out color..

haha.. and i wasnt the one poison him for Spoon... heheh..
*
agree with this abang on this.. you should be scrubbing on the screw heads..

thanx for the tip man. i presume u r on spoon springs?

for high frequency bumps i.e those yellow strips on the road, does the car settle down as soon as it clears the yellow strips, or will it still bounce a little before settling down? simple test, kepala ada goyang ke tak? hihihihi
*
i'm on tein luxury master and stiff rings and its fine.. progressive like Spoon but softer still.. will induce squating though as its softer..

QUOTE(ilyas_jamal @ Nov 27 2014, 04:40 AM)

Just to clarify with all the crz "daikor" here.. Mugen kit grille with led... Possible to just replace specify burnt LEDs without replacing the whole grille? Not so familiar with this...
*
just the LED can be replaced.. but must make sure the LED colour/temp is the same or you will see the difference in colour..

Ok noted. Thx for the replies! As I heard most of those grille which comes with aftermarket led are quite easily burnt off. Did anyone replace at any recommended shop before?

A few of my friends changed in Rexxstyling..

This is air filter located in the engine bay.

What you need to replace is the cabin filter located under/behind the glovebox. If you're not sure, you can just go to honda sc and they will change it for you
*
they will replace it with a paper cabin filter.. nothing as good as the cabin filter..

you can remove the cabin filter yourself quite easily..

it is hidden in the glove compartment behind a panel on top of the glove compartment.. once you open the panel, you will see another panel for the filter..

remove it and sun it for a while..

i made warranty once and they replaced it with a paper filter which I lodged a complaint.. i was given a carbon filter, i should be replaced with a carbon filter.. took them a month plus to source it from Japan directly..

Original is carbon right and they changed into a paper filter for you? I heard paper filter can solve the smell problem though.
*
http://science.howstuffworks.com/environme...question209.htm

Removing the scent is one thing but paper filter is a cheaper alternative and does not absorb bad odour molecules..

We get charged RM130-RM160 for the paper filter if you bring it in to HM, in which we can easily get an aftermarket activated carbon activated filter..

Well, if you are not particular, by all means paper filter does the job too..

Also, if you are a smoker and smoke in your car, you can immediately tell the difference if you use a paper or carbon filter.. Personally, we had a few CRZ members who tried it back in 2012 and after the test, we swear by carbon filter..

QUOTE(ilyas_jamal @ Jan 5 2015, 09:07 PM)
so the one that danix used to sell .. what type is that ah? the green plastic feel.. thats OK as well...
*
Danix sells the 3M filter, that one also not bad.. in fact I'm using that now, two layers, while I have already bought a carbon filter to replace it when the 3M goes..

i didnt know hondas can make a sound  laugh.gif

how do you do that?
*
it does.. slot in your key, turn it to "ON".. press on the reset button for 5 secs or so, it would remain a steady RED.. remove your keys and lock your doors.. viola..

just gotta live with the steady red light..

QUOTE(keagan @ Jan 9 2015, 03:50 PM)
i think that's the only sound you can force it to make... hahaha~ i used to think our car doesn't have an alarm at all until my other friend told me we do ..he's driving an insight so should be the same system laugh.gif
*
we do..

QUOTE(ptewee @ Jan 9 2015, 03:57 PM)
dont know about u guys, but after i lock the car, if i press the 'lock' button on the remote another time, it will do this in order:

1. one beep sound
2. signals flash non-stop
3. few seconds later, the alarm (horn) blares like hell

the only way to stop that is to press unlock on the remote  mellow.gif
*
reset your alarm, #3 shouldnt happen unless there is a fault.. RTM if you do not know how to reset..

QUOTE(DKL @ Jan 10 2015, 12:16 PM)
guys, notice my Z don't have auto door locking feature. Perhaps it is not activated. Browsing tru the manual mention below steps. but it is not working. Any idea?

Activate Drive Lock Mode
1. Close door and turn ignition switch ON (II) position
2. Push and hold front of the master door lock switch on the driver door. You will hear a click. Keep holding the switch till you hear another click (after about 5s)
3. Release the switch, and within 20s, turn the ignition switch to Accessory (I) position.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK (0) position.
*
No autolock module built in for our car..

QUOTE(ahfox @ Jan 11 2015, 07:52 AM)
