my alza is nearly about 2 years old. check the maintenance schedule, and found some needed to change according to it.

air clearner element, coolant (long life), Automatic transmission Fluid. Any idea how much would this cost?
*
Hi, still under warranty? if yes, you can go to SC or check this link out.

I think so too.

I know there is a fuse box under the hood.
However, any there another fuse box elsewhere?

And the fuse box under the hood, it was not mentioned
which fuse is for which electrical components.

It makes it difficult to determine which is for which..

The other one is behind your glove box.

wah u all litre/km so low??? im travling Singapore by Tuas, im 8.6litre/km. is it consider high?
*
Also depending on how your drive.. your right foot !!

Some drivers just can't drive steadily or smoothly at one speed or heavy footed even at low speed.

my town drive average is 8.+L/100km.. sometime even 10l/100km.. nowadays I am old, so drive slow.. have not check whether my 'slow' will ended up high consumption. shakehead.gif

The problem is I can't read where this nut head driver from Penang (no offence penang brothers / sisters) wants to go, a minute they are 30% on left lane 70% on right lane, the next minute they sped off to the right lane then made a sharp left turn.
*
It is okay.. no offence one la. I also Penang lang, but did not stay in PG. I do agree with you that some nut head not just from PG, but in Puchong+PJ also like that.

Worst case during weekend, it is like their brain is on slow mode, driving slowly in fast lane all the way. Then they also donno where they are going. I am not driving fast, in LDP, at least 70-90 la.. not 30-50. They just can't keep left.

Also, found out that why at each interchange in federal hiway or LDP, it is jam!?!? Becos another type of nut heads, coming out from interchange, must keep right one. They just force their way to the right even when it is already packed with cars. Sigh, I donno how their brain is setup?? blink.gif

undeniable perodua cars suspension setting wasn't on par. however, the suspension performance does relates to a more complex thingy like chasis stiffness, torsional rigidity sort of stuff... you may blast that i'm trying to lecture you but let me ask you a question, will myvi suspension behave like a jazz if you stuff in the same brand? My bet is the difference is still there.
Another good example is comparing the ride & handling of a saga (BLM/FL/FLX) vs vios, same segment but still different feeling, i would vote for saga for better ride and handling. Blame it on tax again? Cheer up bro, we just can't get best of both world. I bet everyone likes to have a car with good fuel economy, good suspension, good pick up, good top speed and yet cheapo, so do i. but too bad that the rule is, you want it, you pay for it. biggrin.gif
*
Yup, count me in as I need everything yet cheapo too. brows.gif

Alza is not the best car and may not even good for some.
Yes, Alza's absorbers are soft when it may like sampan but good enough for so called comfort ride. May not be comfort for some as it may not have good handling.

Suspension wise, if big potholes, ya.. it will 'pang pang' instead of 'poop poop'. Almost like kena bang. But if the better tyres slots in with good tyre pressure (not super hard), it can handle so-so uneven / newly pathed road.
If tyre pressure is hard, i will be dancing 'gang-bxng style' in the car going thru this roads. sweat.gif

As long as the car not giving me much problems and served me as RM50k+ value.. nothing much i can request.

In either way it i, Car Mods Workshop is here in the market for a reason tongue.gif

I may consider installing Buffers despite its life span short / long, at least it helps reduce some impact on absorber.

And stupid KLIA2 car park = =, the Metal Hump so damn big some more they did not paint it in visible color, yesterday I just went through it without slowing down. Shit.
*
With your case of having so many ppl in the car, add in the buffer should helps.

I think I got the answer already~
im always fetching 7 people in out Singapore, so I guess XM2 should be better right since I want the comfort? Or they both having the same comfort and quietness? and 195 vs 185, any main differences?
*
Michelin good tyres and definately better than the stock.

The 2 models XM2 and PS3 has a bit different characteristic as explained by bro Eithanius. See what you want and also the pocket too.

Since you are in-out SG with so many ppl, XM2 seems the right choice as I don't see you will be daily on hiway all time.

On the 195 vs 185, my personal view, 10mm extra is extra grip due to coverage on road. Many comment to me that it will reduce pickup, I dont feel it as I also using 195 now. Just that it is 195/55 rather than 185/60.
Overall diameter is smaller by just 3-4mm. not much diff though but the prices would be different between the 2 sizes. check with your tyre shop.

Again, happy tyre hunting rclxms.gif

Hi . I just owned a new Alza car. N wan to ask sifu here, do u guys found there is noisy nut loose sound from left passenger seat when driving. any solution to that? thanks.
*
Try re-adjust by moving the chair to the front and back.. then lock it in place. I suspect it is not properly locked at position.

Hi bros. the noisy sound cleared following the ways Kiefer bro teached. I got one very newbie question, is the predicted "km" shown at the screen there can be trusted?
mean if it is showing 109km left, but the indicator of the petrol is blinking already, is it still can drive around 109km?
n also i find that my FC quite low, only 9.5km /Litre only. bt tat is immediately pump petrol after blinking.(still showing 100km left".
Thanks for answering my question. highly appreciated.thanks. notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif
*
Hi YongHong,

Great that you 'kautim' the sound.

On the FC, it should show L/100km not KM/litre. It actually calculate the average usage, for me it is somewhat accurate.. not perfect though i think but it is a guide for me.

When it shows 109km, (if hiway, it will show 125km or more). It give you a estimated range before ran out of fuel. If it is below 50km range, it will show '-------' I tried below that, but dont dare as i dont want to push my car or walking to the petrol station. hehehe

now my FC is about 8.9 - 9.1L/100km when in LDP during peak hours. But best to pump petrol soonest possible when you have the chance. For me, I will have at least 50km to go when start blinking especially in hiway next stop.

On your case, after pump petrol and still showing 100km... then you try off and on again as bro SingK mentioned.
If still show like that, i remember there is a way to reset the Range by holding it down for seconds. Try look at the owners manual.

If still same.. service center is the way to go.

when 1 bar start blinking and it indicate 109km.. yes, you still can drive until it shows 50km range, but with gentle ride. Get use to the car first as you still need time to know her more.

Also, dont blame me if your alza no fuel at 50km range. hehehe try at your own risk blink.gif

ya... depending on condition, the figures changes based on the FC. Can be more and can be less.

Hi All,

I just got my Alza Advance Version yesterday. So far it has been good. Just want to ask about the upgrades mentioned on the 1st page. Does the warranty gets void if we fix the Front Strut Bar and Coil Spring Buffer?
*
Please aware that the front strut bar will block airfilter cover.. which will prevent accessing / changing the airfilter. So everytime, you will need to loosen / take out the strut bar to change the filter.

That is what happening to my alza. I am using UR.

I see.. thanks for the heads up.. I might just install the coil spring buffer and drop the front strut bar idea..
Thanks again...  notworthy.gif
*
ok.. your call bro.

Also, if you feel that the rear 'buang' or too soft when cornering, another option is to add anti-roll bar for the rear.
just my 2 cents.

nowdays with the bad jam at peak hour, my full tank of RM 60 only can reach 320 km. BTW I serviced the car today at 10k. Feels better but the next interval is 10k instead of 5k. I got a feeling this car maybe sluggish after 7k of driving especially a lot of time spent in the jam.
*
RM60 is 30 litre (rough estimates).. 320km is until your indicator blinks, so means you have about 10L/100km.

Whenever stuck in the jam daily, that is what we will get. Last time my alza service interval is every 5k, and the performance drop can feel at about 2.5k to 3k onwards. So getting a good oil is key.

I tried many oils, Torco 10-30 semi is good where even 8-10k is good still but can hear engine a bit noisy. Use the oil you feel best personally for your engine.

I also use UR front strut bar & DIY install it. Did shared some pics at V2 thread.

No need remove strut bar when remove air filter.
1. Open all air filter cover clips.
2. Raise the air filter cover up with both hands.
3. Insert index+middle fingers to hold the air filter inside.
4. Slowly slide out airfilter together with the filter cover.

Same for myvi with UR strut bar.
Very troublesome to remove strut bar everytime open air filter cover to access the air filter. Alot of work especially for Alza.
*
Will try again.. thanks for the tips.. icon_rolleyes.gif

i've done a trip down to KL (from PG) during raya, the FC was decent with 8.0L/100km in mixed driving (highway + traffic) with six pax and loaded with goods.
*
I was towards Alor Setar on last Saturday morning (3am) and reaching there only 3pm !! it is jam pack and re-route using old trunk road (Slim River > Ipoh > Gerik > Baling > Gurun > Alor Setar).

I was stuck before Behrang, trying to go out to Behrang but jam at toll, so carried on till next exit (slim river)... that 15km lasted me 1.30 hours !!! I should have exited Behrang.

Through the trunk road, I managed to clock 8.1L/100km. (3 person with 3 medium baggage only)
OTW back, via hiway, it clocked 7.8L/100km. (around 110kph)

Ok la.. will try to see best ways to improve FC.

The otai in myalza had extensive discussion on this previous.
P2 OEM front brek pad for Alza is Lucas brand.

Btw, Alza front brek pad similar to Waja front pad.
*
Ya.. have been trying many different brands since first ori pads.

The 2nd one is APM. Cost me RM120 and last less than 20,000km.
Then 3rd one is proton's.. cost me about rm60-70, last less then 20,000km too.
Now on Paraut brand from Jpn, cost me RM70.. still testing.

Thanks bro. I think i no need those added value accessories. haha.. can save RM 6000 if dont include those right?
I think most likely will go for SE version. How long you guys got the car after approved by bank loan?
Good for you bro. The FC for this car is good?
*
Hi PPZ, the accessories, just depends on what you really need.

Alza = RM55k
SE = RM59k
Adv = RM67+k

between SE and Adv, there is almost 7000++ which is a lot of saving. Again, yr choice.

my Alza (4 years now) FC is about 8.9L-9.1L/100km.. that is normal drive now as hardly use during peak hours. I ride to work daily which saves me a lot too.
