The purple isn't adjust white balance to made so?
I love to shoot this kind of landscape but always shoot macam phone straight out jek!
Now phone powerful HDR apps shoot better than mine  sad.gif
*
I use Perfect Effect 4 to process first (preset) and then CS6 to touch up a little.
Practice more you will get the result you want smile.gif
Phone shots only look good on the tiny screen

QUOTE(nicknyhk @ Apr 15 2014, 01:47 PM)
What an awesome shot. How did you manage to keep the arch dark while the sky so nicely exposed? Did you use a filter, post processing or just shoot?
*
Thanks !
No filter use, I did some minor touch up to darken the spotlights from the ships at the background.
other than that i basically only use LR4 to bring out the details of the Milky Way

QUOTE(lost123 @ Apr 15 2014, 05:46 PM)

i have been looking for such a sky with full of stars, can advise exactly where is it?  cheers.gif

Then you shouldn't go to that place.
you should go to mountain area or ulu place without so much light pollution there.
We were just lucky to get partial very clear sky during the shoot.
Anyway, this is at Kota Tinggi Johor.

dont take this scathing criticism the wrong way. but your photo is just dull and boring. the picture is dominated by the sky, in which there is nothing to see. the way the pole is cut off makes it more like a distraction than any point of focus. when you take a picture, u need to have a subject. your subject is then surrounded by items that enhance the subject. of course bad subject will be bad subject no matter what. Try looking up some composition examples on the internet for starters. Here's to hoping we all become better photographers. cheers.
absolutely amazing. how cropped was this? i assume at least 50% from the grain. but still amazing. where is this? can take me with you sir? biggrin.gif
*
thanks man
yeah, about 50% cropped(600mm on 5dmk3)
of course, come to sg i bring you there.
