Yes. happen to me as well during 4.2.2. But I have no such issue in KitKat.
Should buy both franchise of Kingdom Rush, never regret buying this game after I read a review of the games, have both on my Android and iPad as well. (I bought at 0.99$)
*
Another reason I downloaded that game because some friends told me the game lag on their phones. laugh.gif

I made a recording in my previous post; just to show how smooth the game can be even during recording. brows.gif

On stock ROM, h+ won't show on stock? Surprised lol
*
Stock is not capable to show H+. There is no icon for it.

If you are on stock ROM, to verify that you are on H+ network, go to Setting, status.

chrome: sandbox draining my battery, any solution?
I am in total stock 4.4.2

I am on stock 4.4.2, has no problem with the sandbox. I am suspecting some bad Web pages that constantly requesting to redraw (or plugin or something)... if u suspect any page like that, give me the URL. i will try it on my phone.

alternatively, try close all tab in Chrome. try monitor if there is any specific page that causing it.

also try (usually no needed), after minimise Chrome, click Task Manager and swipe it away when you done using Chrome.

See if battery improve?

Finally, change to AOSP browser. I heard it's pretty sleek.

Heya folks, need help, my brother's n4 couldn't hold charges as it would turn off by itself if not connected to any power source. But it still can power itself up until bootloader. If I tried to enter recovery or boot normally, it would just turn off after post google screen. icon_question.gif
*
user posted image

if the phone can stay in Bootloader without auto off (for say 30 minutes), that mean it's bad / corrupted ROM. solution is to flash back to Stock ROM:

https://developers.google.com/android/nexus...ges#occamkot49h

if phone auto off even in Bootloader, battery problem. solution:

1. Try off, and fully charge it 5 hours
2. Power on

if problem persist, visit Service Center, change battery.

!!Detailed long post on how to "turn" Samurai vs Zombies 2 into an offline game. Feel free to skip ahead to next post!!

I like Samurai vs Zombies game. Unfortunately, like 99% of the App in Google Play. It requires Internet connection. I hate giving Internet access to anything I don't compile myself in my phone. It is just so easy for any app to obtain so much info from a smart phone and send it out; contacts, gps, accounts, list of app in your phone, sms, etc...

Normally, it is straight forward to remove the Internet permission from any app: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2125489/+1340#entry47288597

1. Decode the APK
CODE
java -jar apktool.jar decode com.glu.samuzombie2-1.apk

2. Edit com.glu.samuzombie2-1/AndroidManifest.xml
- Find and remove these. These permission gives the game ability to connect Internet, start everytime you start phone automatically and display all ads notification and give away your GPS location (wifi based):
CODE
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION" />

However, if you repack and sign the game now and run it you will get an error "Not a genuine copy". There is a little integrity checking in Samurai vz Zombies 2 to make sure we cannot change anything in the binary. We are going to break this.

3. Search for "genuine" string in the decoded files:
CODE
D:\Util\android\apktool>findstr -s genuine com.glu.samuzombie2-1\*
com.glu.samuzombie2-1\res\values\strings.xml:    <string name="invalid_signature">Not a genuine copy</string>

4. Now we know the variable name we want to look for is "invalid_signature". Search for it:
CODE
D:\Util\android\apktool>findstr -s invalid_signature com.glu.samuzombie2-1\*.smali
com.glu.samuzombie2-1\smali\com\glu\plugins\AJTUtil.smali:    const-string v0, "string/invalid_signature"

5. Now we know which file check for this, let's break it. Edit "com.glu.samuzombie2-1\smali\com\glu\plugins\AJTUtil.smali" at line ~1170. This is part of the code that display the toastbox:
CODE

   .line 244
   const-string v0, "VerifySignature() Failed"

   invoke-static {v0}, Lcom/glu/plugins/AJavaTools;->Log(Ljava/lang/String;)V

   .line 246
   const-string v0, "string/invalid_signature"

This is part of VerifySignature() function that will check the integrity of the binary. We just need this function to return "void" without throwing any exception. So, add these 2 lines in line number 1078 like this:

CODE
.method public static VerifySignature()V
   .locals 10

   .prologue
   const/4 v1, 0x0

   .line 226
   const-string v0, "VerifySignature()"

#cow                                                     <---- ya, add these 2 lines
   return-void

6. If you repack and run the game, you will bypass the game verification but game will Force Closed (FC). sad.gif In time like this, logcat will give you more details about the problem.
CODE
D:\Util\android\apktool>adb logcat
...
E/AndroidRuntime(30786):        at com.android.okhttp.internal.http.HttpURLConne
ctionImpl.getResponseCode(HttpURLConnectionImpl.java:503)
E/AndroidRuntime(30786):        at com.android.okhttp.internal.http.HttpsURLConn
ectionImpl.getResponseCode(HttpsURLConnectionImpl.java:136)
E/AndroidRuntime(30786):        at com.unity3d.player.WWW.run(Unknown Source)
...

From logcat, a file is throwing the "No Internet permission exception": com/unity3d/player/WWW.run:

7. So, the run() method giving you problem.. let's undo the problem. Make it return "void" as soon as it start:

CODE
.method public run()V
   .locals 13

#cow                                                         <---- ya, add these 2 lines
return-void

8. Repack the APK:
CODE
D:\Util\android\apktool>java -jar apktool.jar build com.glu.samuzombie2-1

9. Sign it:
CODE
D:\Util\android\apktool>\util\java\bin\jarsigner.exe -verbose -keystore ..\release-key.keystore com.glu.samuzombie2-1\dist\com.glu.samuzombie2-1.apk cowkey -sigalg MD5withRSA -digestalg SHA1

10. Zip align it:
CODE
D:\Util\android\apktool>..\sdk\tools\zipalign.exe -v 4 com.glu.samuzombie2-1\dist\com.glu.samuzombie2-1.apk samurai2.apk

11. Install it:
CODE
D:\Util\android\apktool>adb install -r samurai2.apk

Enjoy the game knowing that it's not capable of sending anything out to the Internet and it won't start when your phone start.

guys can help me?

my phone screen cracked, so i sent for repair at LG. now i got it back
before this i did a nandroid backup using cmw(just the normal cmw backup) and transfer to my pc.

now i have my phone with cmw, and rooted.
when i adb pull the backup i extracted it from /mnt/shell/emulated/clockworkmod/backup
i use adb push from the location to the same place.

but when i enter recovery, it only shows "restore from /sdcard" and the backup is nowhere to be found.

how to i restore my backup?
*
i m not using CWM, but i think there is Advance Restore that allow you to chose the path of your backup. If still not working, try push it back to /sdcard/.

*
what is in that director? see something like boot.img, system.img? worse case you can just "dd" it back

ps: say you have the boot.img in /sdcard/clockwork/mod/

to flash back your kernel (boot.img) and ROM (system.img):

CODE
dd if=/sdcard/clockwork/mod/boot.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/boot
dd if=/sdcard/clockwork/mod/system.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system

I don't care about being butter smooth. I'm fine with jittering during animations (doesn't matter since I turned it off already). As long scrolling is smooth, keyboard works fine then i'm happy.

My Note 2 is already smooth at scrolling when its touchboost is more than 500MHz regardless of cores. With a 600MHz cap, I can last for 12 hours on WiFi.

N4 is pretty power hungry, no point for me trying smile.gif
*
i hate jittery scrolling/animation. laugh.gif my fren has Note 2, we both open 9gag.com with Chrome, wait till it finished loading. flick the finger quickly to scroll all the way down. Not pleasant in Note 2 biggrin.gif

Battery wise, N4 is OK if you charge your phone before sleep everyday. Cannot compare to Note 2 which is a phablet. I undervolt mine, only need to charge once every 2 days.

On another note, my latest video. Nice 8-bit good old shoot 'em up in Immense mode:
