sf2 hyper fighting.... ahhhhh at that time i still wore shorts to school.... man life was a whole lot simpler then.....

WE ( arcade junkies) were still in primary school, i remember. REad EGM which has this colorful spread of all the movelist of all the World Fighters. Save up on recess pocket money so that can go to the local arcade in Sg.Wang to play the game.

Don't you guys think that SF II Hyper Fighting is overpriced?

I thought at E3, they did an interview with the head of Xbox Live Arcade, and he said that "retro" games will be priced at 400 MS Points (USD 5) and new developed title will be priced at 800 - 1200 MS Points (USD 10 - 15).

Isn't SF II Hyper Fighting should be considered as "retro" games and should be priced at 400 MS Points intead?

well, it depends.

Unlike the retro games we've seen so far, SF2 is a much more deeper title than everything we've seen so far and more work need to be done so it costs more.

Of course.. they could also be miliking us for what it's worth!

Blanka first, cause I used blanka exclusively in the arcade cause I just couldn't do the dragon punhc motion last time. Then Chun Li, then ryu.

Ken first.. then comes Ryu... last resort Blanka

i still remember the old time, there is an world tournament, which involve a japanese(ryu) and hongkong player(ken) at final.... and the winner was RYU!

Here's what i can remember..I might be wrong though

Ken's jump in fierce, fierce, shoryuken dizzies..then u can follow up with a another damaging combo.. Almost half your life gone.

Ryu's 2 fireball in succession = opponent dizzy (yeah, he has fastest fireball). I believe Ryu is a more difficult character to play in SF2:HF. He's slower than Ken but definitely does more damage.

I can only hope SF2 is playable with the analog stick. I wont be using the digital pad. Its freaking hard and I believe the "right" direction is defective. Makes me wonder if the Neopad is any better.

Wonder if its really gonna be released today.. On the other hand..what happened to LYN. New cascading feature of the threads?

My bad, somehow i clicked on "Outline" without knowing it. Should be at "Standard". Its 12:25pm now..should be August 2 in US soil.. anyone know if its out yet? Not that it matters, I'm in the office, but its nice to know that i can play tonight!

Most of the arcade games are around 25MB++. I'm guessing this will be a bit bigger. My streamyx is extremely slow at night these days. I sure hope its fast enough to download it so can play tonight.

IINM, they have a 50mb size limit... to make it fit in the 64mb MU

Heard the AI is very much "cheaper" on this one esp with Ryu. He basically fireballs u to death.

i try on full star level! RYU really 'cheap'! but he still have some weakness.. but very hard to have that chances lah..

but.. ken still 'stupid' like the original arcade one... no matter which match u meet him, just stay at 2 person distance, he will 'stupidly' attack with shoyuken... then combo him kao kao la~

then how? can change our profiles frm singapore to US? how come not available for Asia? hmmpp.. maybe asian ppl good on SF, M$ band asian ppl frm joining xboxlive?

anyone tried playing over live yet?

I only managed to get it 2 twice. 90% of the time, the game timeouts..and when i do get to play, its pretty laggy. Any local players yet? Wanna see if it lags like this.

As expected, the 360 controller absolutely sucks for this game. I can't do a dragon punch with the analog stick. With the digital pad, i get it 60% of the time..but when i'm facing left, I jump everytime i try to dragon punch.

i think marauderz is playing it now... maybe you can experiment with him hehehehehe

i'm still stuck below 50% after 2hours+ of waiting ...

i just downloaded the game. I am thinking to buy the full game and play online but I did not subcribe to Xbox Live. Can I still play online if I buy SF2 full?

Wah, played with Marauderz and got decimated by him. He's definately the Chun Li and Blanka king.

After playing 28 matches i managed to finish the game with Ken. This game is harder than usual.

you just couldn't do all ur moves properly mah, probably due to the little bit of lag we got.

sorry marauderz and wel, lastnight try on the hardest level... played 100 round still cant defeat the 'cheap cheap' M.bison.... next time we played online yah!

im still prefer RYU la... watch out my hadoken+shoyuken!!!!!

Aynway I think I know why there's no Asian release yet. It's really quite stupid actually, how many people here remember that M. Bison is actually the boxer in Japan?

For US and Japan version that was some name swapping to avoid potential lawsuits and thus the Japan names were changed to these in the US

M. Bison = Balrog
Balrog = Vega
Vega = M. Bison

This is of course if there's a boxer named M. Bison with his.. more or less likeness he might sue mar

i tried the game this morning, analog stick is kinda pain in the arse, but d-pad is surprisingly easy to use, better than i expected. Will buy the full version to9t, hope to join u guys for a fight :smile:

Using it for SF2 is not too bad.. just that I need to find a proper surface for it, the table I put it on ystrday was slippery and couldn't grip it too well when I tried to Shryoken!
