well, it depends.

Unlike the retro games we've seen so far, SF2 is a much more deeper title than everything we've seen so far and more work need to be done so it costs more.

Of course.. they could also be miliking us for what it's worth! tongue.gif

Blanka first, cause I used blanka exclusively in the arcade cause I just couldn't do the dragon punhc motion last time. Then Chun Li, then ryu.

OK.. I'll be waiting for you Chin.

Aynway I think I know why there's no Asian release yet. It's really quite stupid actually, how many people here remember that M. Bison is actually the boxer in Japan?

For US and Japan version that was some name swapping to avoid potential lawsuits and thus the Japan names were changed to these in the US

M. Bison = Balrog
Balrog = Vega
Vega = M. Bison

This is of course if there's a boxer named M. Bison with his.. more or less likeness he might sue mar tongue.gif

HAhaahaha.. I was using it already when playing yesterday.. it was bought for this EXACT purpose!

For those not in the know.. behold the P0RNSTIX!!!
Attached Image

Using it for SF2 is not too bad.. just that I need to find a proper surface for it, the table I put it on ystrday was slippery and couldn't grip it too well when I tried to Shryoken!

I'm disappointed in sf2, I mean I can handle the lag issues, it's really not that easy to sync a fighting game but... the problems of even joining a game? that I can't forgive! the join game system just doesn't seem to work most of the time.. aiiii...

A really good part of my secondary school days were spent in the arcades (after school hours of course) and a really good part of it was spent behind the joystick of an SF2 machine, from the initial 3 button machines were the buttons were randomly wired, to having actual 6 button machines.... aaaa... those were the days.

God... I got trashed like heck during those days...

At least now I don't have to worry about 20 cents going down the drain whenever someone kills me within 20 clicks of the timer.

I can see that the old n00b tactics still exists, damn chun li thousand leg kick for no good reason, stupid E Honda thousand hand slap thinking he's so good.

And I see the new Lag induced tactics, using light attacks strategically, combos being more deadly.. the dreaded block->throws.. mmm.... good times.. My index finger is even starting to hurt like it used to due to the fierce pounding of my Hori porn stick.

My wife is just amazed in how my attituide changes when I play the game, there's a reason why I don't use the mic in ranked matches and it's not because I cuss a lot! tongue.gif

I just realised something, how do u guys enter matches online? through quick match or custom?

I usually use custom so I get to see a list of matches along with ping times. now the ping times are the pings for that guy to the matchmaking server, so what I did now instead of looking for green ping times, now I look for RED ping times, my reasoning is if they're far away from the matchmaking server to get a red listing they might be close enough to me for less laggy matches.

seems to be working, got a lot of matches with ppl in the uk where it's just slow motion and not a bloody slideshow.

hope that helps
