We should all go to the arcade and play. Should be more fun. Good idea?
Err..anyone's 360 been crashing more often when they play this game? Mine has crashed like 5 times already. |

The best way to do this, is to choose "Traditional", not "Quarter" mode since that passing-of-host thing tend to lags everyone.
The litmus test on how many the game can support yesterday, was a bit disappointing. Only 2 players, otherwise it slideshows like no tomorrow. This game really brings out the bad-rep remarks submission from me. A$$holes like vulgarmouths, Honda cheapies, and such , they all come out from their hiding places and into this game. It takes a while to do, but i can now do the DP relatively better than last time, and using the analog stick to boot. The digital pad is too stiff and non-sensitive to my liking. Thank God there arent any supers on this one, otherwise carrying out Blanka/Bison/Guile/Balrog supers would be an exercise in futility methinks. i definitely hate honda cheapies....blankas also.. but they are the characters that made my way through 7star difficulty ..
edit: chun li as well.. edit2: arghhh! lost my progress for difficulty 7 stars...almost reaching the end and live disconnected...and silly me tried to connect again and it failed .. *poof* my progress is gone ..! p/s i was wondering is it possible to have 2 players in a console connect to play LIVE together... To help you guys.. may work.. from Kotaku...
How To Avoid Street Fighter II Live Timeouts Today, August 05, 2006, 6 hours ago It was already bordering on ironic that a $400 gaming system was becoming known as the console to play ports on, but full-blown irony wasn't achieved until those ports starting not working. Since its launch the Xbox Live Arcade version of Street Fighter II has been having some major issues with online play. So much so, that some people can't play a single match in an evening without a match timing out. Fortunately, Mookyjooky's CheapAssGamer has come up with a workaround. "I was playing Street Fighter II earlier tonight and I was getting timeouts after timeouts after timeouts...except this one time, I pressed the "Center Button" (What ever that "X" button is actually called) after it found someone in Quick Match ranked and for the first time in 9-10 timeouts it connected... I tried to quick match afterwards, and got timeouts constantly again... Then I wondered if I hit the center button, if it would connect again, and sure enough... it did. So I played 10 games in a row and not once did it timeout... this is how I did it. Maybe this works for everyone, but it seems to work for me. So click on quick match, and when it finds a person and starts the 5 sec timer, click the center button. Then hit the center button again when the character select screen pops up. Easy as pie, and I did it 10 times in a row without getting a timeout." So there you have it, a little button jiggling and the game is as good as new. Brian Crecente |

A really good part of my secondary school days were spent in the arcades (after school hours of course) and a really good part of it was spent behind the joystick of an SF2 machine, from the initial 3 button machines were the buttons were randomly wired, to having actual 6 button machines.... aaaa... those were the days.
God... I got trashed like heck during those days... At least now I don't have to worry about 20 cents going down the drain whenever someone kills me within 20 clicks of the timer. I can see that the old n00b tactics still exists, damn chun li thousand leg kick for no good reason, stupid E Honda thousand hand slap thinking he's so good. And I see the new Lag induced tactics, using light attacks strategically, combos being more deadly.. the dreaded block->throws.. mmm.... good times.. My index finger is even starting to hurt like it used to due to the fierce pounding of my Hori porn stick. My wife is just amazed in how my attituide changes when I play the game, there's a reason why I don't use the mic in ranked matches and it's not because I cuss a lot! |

I just realised something, how do u guys enter matches online? through quick match or custom?
I usually use custom so I get to see a list of matches along with ping times. now the ping times are the pings for that guy to the matchmaking server, so what I did now instead of looking for green ping times, now I look for RED ping times, my reasoning is if they're far away from the matchmaking server to get a red listing they might be close enough to me for less laggy matches. seems to be working, got a lot of matches with ppl in the uk where it's just slow motion and not a bloody slideshow. hope that helps |

Why SF2-HF is not available in my XBLA games download list? My Live account is US' account, so shouldn't it be there?

Eh.. Mzaidi.. I'm looking at your Gamer Card.. it states SG as your location, you sure your account is US one? Easiest way to check is to look at the currency type used for buying points, is it USD or SGD?

Yah, I just realised that the region is depending on the e-mail address, not the "locale" setting in the system blade. Previously I set it to US and on my profile it shows US, just now I change it to Singapore, and it now my profile shows Singapore as my region. |

QUOTE(marauderz @ Aug 17 2006, 12:02 AM) It's Singapore because of my e-mail address. I thought it's US because when I see my profile on Xbox.com, it stated that I'm under US account, aparently the location on Xbox.com profile is influenced by "locale" setting on system blade. If I create another Live account under US region, and download SF2 using that profile, will I be able to play it online using my Singapore account? |
