Yes u r right..
I "jalan-jalan" yesterday, to computer hardware shop, just looking..
I saw many kb below rm50.. even for Logitech brand, got quite a few choices..
My last logitech kb is exactly rm50..
Maybe u r right, the cost is a bomb, but I don't really mind, also don't mind to get another mkb laugh.gif
This is quite addictive I must say, hohoho biggrin.gif
*
if this is something u like, u wouldn't mind paying the high price for it.
but for most ppl, they don't see this as something they need, except gamers and hobbyist or collectors like us lol!
pity our wallets sad.gif

Well, if you can teach me then I don't mind. All I've ever soldered before are cables and kemahiran hidup projects, not 500 dollar keyboards. Hahahah.
*
i too only learn soldering from KH projek, which was many years ago! LOL!
only this year i started developing interest in DIY stuff.
got my own soldering station and stuff. i fixed up one of my keycool's faulty switch as well...bangga betul weih biggrin.gif
self thought from watching youtube videos on soldering.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySzh89tZUQE

u can say this mkb hobby brings out the mr.diy in me XD

BWAHAHAHAH. Yeah man, it only felt like yesterday we were playing with soldering tools and splashing shellacs on each others projects. LoL! But suddenly your realise it's more than half a decade ago. Man I feel old.

And thanks for the video man. Hopefully I can do DIY custom works and repairs like you guys soon.

LOL what I meant was that I thought keyboards were max priced at 400-500. Now I know for custom ones it'll cost 900-1.2k Or so. Hahahah. Next time when working then I'll think about it.
*
ekchelli...custom's price have big range...RM800 to...as much as u want to name it LOL!
for a good aluminium case, just the case itself also RM800 to over thousands d sweat.gif really it's a happy and misery path this is.

Read already, only about the shipment fee for 2nd and local not that understand.
It would be easier if you let me know how to calculate. I only buy blue mods usd 45. sweat.gif
From what I can see. We can save a lot in the shipping fee. Good to have group buy laugh.gif

It's an unfair question. To newbies like us who has never heard of ducky before, of course we pick corsair. But if you wanna put history in context then of course we pick the one that has been doing it for seven years.

But still, my question stands, is ducky really that good to be considered the best for the sub RM500 range? I just wanna know your opinions and user experience really. But based on what I've read here it seems after sales experience is second to none, especially for replacement parts and ease of fixing.

And like I said, Dont kill me LOL!
*
for backlit boards, i'd say ducky due to it's availability and rep.
for non-backlit, ComingSoonâ„¢ Filco.

Yea bro, only when press, it become something like this when i type:
the quicck bbrowwwn fox jumps over the lazy dog

The "W" is especially nice, can triple or even quad when "lucky" laugh.gif
*
hmm...the only time i experience automatic double tapping is with my keycool 87.
i replaced the switch altogether and it doesn't happen to me anymore.
but sometimes there's double tapping happening on my E and H key if i recall correctly.
i suspect it could be poor switch build.
if it's possible, try swapping the C V B W switch with other rarely use keys (Insert, Scroll Lock, Print Screen, Pause, etc...)
that would mean having to open up the case and desolder the switches and soldering it back.
i assume it's out of warranty.
if u're staying in kl, some abangs here can probably help u do it with a small fee tongue.gif

Yea, I can get some switches for cheap here, by chinaboard do you mean something like This  50 rm keyboard? Also your term is too technical for newbie like me rclxub.gif can enlighten me a bit ar sifu?  drool.gif
*
that keyboard in the link isn't a real mechanical keyboard.
i don't know what switch is that.
for sure it's not cherry MX or alps.
it's basically rubber dome keyboard that attempt to give u mechanical keyboard feel.

for cherry mx keyboard, usually it's around RMB300 and more.

Alright, looks like I've fixed my keyboard, no longer stupid chattering.
Press inside the switch with a toothpick and blow some compressed air works for me.
Dunno if it will come back later though...  hmm.gif
*
glad that blowing the switch helps smile.gif
