kinda disagree, I would recommend X100/X100s or X-M1 to any starters..I have the x10 as well and I don't really enjoy shooting with the x10 for some reason..if you don't enjoy shooting = you takda semangat to shoot = you don't learn..

I think it would be better to study the specs of the cameras then go have hands on experience at a shop to confirm and buy..if you go straight to shop without research, the shop assistant can just feed you any bullsh*t to sell you the camera..I always research first then the only question I will ask is best price, what does it come with and warranty..

x100 is awesome for starters as you can get one for about 2k used now, just a bit top up from x20 price..

you can get the XE-2 + 18-55mm for 3.9k, then 23mm for 2.4k from him..total 6.3k, can sell the 18-55mm for about 1.3k I think? or you can use it first .

or X-Pro 1 + 35mm f/1.4 for 4400, then sell the 35mm for about 1.4-1.5k..xe-2 is newer though, with newer sensor and processor..but I got the x-pro coz I really like it ..

35mm is a on the tele end so it might be a bit difficult to take group shots for example (need to stand far far back, trust me, I had just the 35mm for a birthday party and the room wasn't so big..kept bumping into tables and walls

u top up about 400 more u can get brand new x100s. just think about this : do you have a certain fuji lens that you're eyeing? for example the 56mm f/1.2 or like me you have a lens that fuji x cameras can use (in my case it's the Samyang 8mm f/2.8 Fisheye) which makes you want to have an interchangeable lens camera. or maybe you want to have a zoom lens instead of a prime lens.

if yes then maybe better to get the X-E1 or X-M1.. X-M1 can get for 2.4k with 16-50 and 18mm f/2..if not, then x100s is awesome to use. the 23mm length is really good, it's not too wide not too tele (been using 23mm f/1.4 for over 2 months now)..and the x100s is a really really good camera, it's considered as a professional camera in the fuji lineup (besides the xe series)..even the x-pro is considered enthusiast/professional..

I wouldn't really agree haha..if you're using x100s, you have 1 lens only, want to change also cannot change = got pros and cons..you don't need to pening kepala think of what lens to use/bring for a shoot, don't have to have the hassle of changing lenses/ lens dropping out of bags (believe me this has happened to me but my Asian ninja reflexes caught the lens before hitting the ground)..

if you want nice IQ/well low light noise control, xe1 and x100s are both very good to use..even the x-m1 has better noise control than the x-pro1 (to my eyes)..

haha i agree with you, i have both x-pro1 and x-m1 and i really like the shutter speed dial..but honestly I always set it to Auto so it doesn't really matter to me haha..yeah if i'm not mistaken it's 2900 for the 3 lens..but imagine u have to carry around 3 lenses 1 body with you, then want to think use 18mm or 27mm or 16-50mm later pening kepala..

I think x100s would be slightly (if at all) better due to 0.3megapixels more & newer sensor..if I have the cash, I would buy x100s as I've been in love with the x100 series since it was released haha..but only chose X-Pro1 coz I wanted the Samyang lens..

that would be a little over your budget ..don't la later roti also cannot afford need eat grass haha..for me I could buy the 23 coz I sold my entire dslr system hehe..

i asked him for u he said x-e2 body only can give 2800, FOC bag, memory card..

he just gave me some great news , X-T1 will be less than RM4k if buy from him haha..bhphoto is around RM4.3k body only..

haha..if i go 2 body rite, i str8 sell my 23mm, buy x100s, keep 8mm and buy 56mm f/1.2 haha..no need headache keep switch between 23mm and fisheye lens..

haha, with fuji x my camera is always out..with dslr i always keep in bag only ..

highly doubt that the X-T1 will be heavy haha. It looks more or less the same like the A7 and I played with it for awhile and it's not so heavy haha..currently my X-Pro1 + 23mm f/1.4 weight is more or less a bit lighter than the 60D (based on my feeling la )
