I picked the Infusion Pro series. I initially think to not follow JPJ rules, but the SA recommend me to take the VLT complying with JPJ. For product within the same series, their IRR and UV blocking is the same (~1% different, 99-100%), the only different is just on VLT. I personally dont like the car to be too dark also so I just follow his recomendation.Care to share SA advise on % VLT? Thanks for sharing all the details This post has been edited by virulence: Mar 26 2021, 01:08 AM

QUOTE(fong5859 @ Mar 28 2021, 03:47 PM) Parked under bare hot sun for 2 hours once (didnt put those reflector shade in front window), when get in the car still can feel very hot. I guess the tint cant help in this case because the sun is heating up the windows and car body itself. Eventually the heat still can transmit into the car interior.
If that's the case then maybe I'll just try their RM499 package

QUOTE(christ14 @ Apr 22 2021, 12:31 AM) oh no wonder i guess thats the one most people take here? infusion have no issue with gps/smarttag? sunroof need add how much? my incoming x50 also got.... so my car is basement parked and only out when im out so... still thinking should just get normal one or get the higher range infusion I just installed Totalgard Ceramic Plus series 2 weeks back and this series will not have issue with smart tag. SA advised for Infusion series; need to wind down the window for smart tag. Only down side is their installation environment is not air cond but just under the shade. Plus they subcon the job to outsider so depending on their skill. This was also mentioned by another forumer. This post has been edited by virulence: Apr 23 2021, 06:40 PM

QUOTE(imation1314 @ Apr 23 2021, 04:07 PM) Hi all, i am new to car tint, need some advise please.. Wanted to know is it dangerous to drive at night if apply dark tint (VLT 50% below) ? If yes what are the recommended VLT for car tint to have better visibility at night although the darker tint really looked cool If your eyesight is good then for front door windows & rear windscreen at VLT20. If eyesight not so good then VLT30. As you need to view side/rear mirrors through those windows. IMO rear door windows can go as dark as you like. QUOTE(borebby @ Apr 26 2021, 10:33 PM) Ceramic Plus is between Infusion and Infusion Pro, right ? I just whatsapp 1 of the sales person. He told me following. Ceramic Plus IRR90-95% Infusion IRR70-80% Infusion Pro IRR95-99% Yes price in between too lol. Infusion Pro is a reflective tint. I choose a ceramic tint as I've had problems with my previous reflective tint.

QUOTE(borebby @ Apr 27 2021, 09:57 PM) So, what you all chosen ? - Front screen VLT 70% (minimum) - Front side windows VLT 50% (minimum) How about following? I thinking 50% for below as well because I don't want JPJ to disturb and my eyesight at night not so good. However, they told performance may be not ideal if I choosing VLT 50% for Ceramic Plus. - Side windows for Back - Rear windscreen Yes those are JPJ compliance for front. Go VLT30 for rear windscreen if eyesight not so good. For rear doors go VLT20 or below. If you want to go lower VLT for front then I suggest doing front door windows to VLT30 too. Leave front windscreen at VLT70 as it is more troublesome to re-do this compared to side windows in the event that you want to be JPJ compliant down the road. QUOTE(dogbert_chew @ Apr 28 2021, 10:56 PM) Can you get that in writing and share here please ? I was verbally told it was 5 years warranty only and I believe its a limited warranty which is up to their discretion depending on the issue. We aren't like the first world countries where they establish proper consumer rights so you won't get it in black and white to what extent that you can claim for your warranty for any of the services or products here.

QUOTE(borebby @ Apr 29 2021, 05:28 PM) Just tinted today. No warranty card. The salesman told just bring back the invoice if have any problem. I tinted following. Today is raining day. Not really test on performance. Anyway, feel like cool faster compare my existing tint. May be my existing is already > 7 years, no more effective also. Front Windscreen - Ceramic Plus 7095 Side Windows - Ceramic Plus 5097 5MIL Rear Windscreen - Ceramic Plus 5095 Front top - 8 inch Ceramic Plus 0595 Yeah for sure can feel difference on hot day because of new tint. My old tint hardly reduce any heat as over 5 years lol
