I wish to ask more about the V-kool tints that are distributed in Malaysia. I've checked from the official v-kool malaysian website, it says that the v-kool tints are from Southwall Technologies Inc, Silicon Valley with a five year warranty backed by the said company. However, when i tried to enquire a bit further from one of the salesperson at a 'supposedly' authorised dealer and installer of the v-kool tints with regards to the manufacturer details of the v-kool tints that were supplied at that shop, the salespersons was at first unable to provide me with the info and got a bit annoyed afterwards and assured me that it's all genuine and from USA. When I went over to the shop afterwards, I was just subtly told that it was from Houston, Texas. hmm.gif Now if we're talking about geography here, a simple search on google maps would show that these two places, i.e. Silicon Valley and Houston Texas are on separate ends of the country. So, am I missing something here? Is this the norm? I'm puzzled cause the shop is apparently quite well known to install v-kool tints. sweat.gif Really appreciate any feedback and comments. Thanks.

Hi. I didn't manage to read your comment. Any reason to delete it? If it's constructive but at the same time inconvenient there's always the pm button. Thanks.

Hi sifus,

Few days back I tinted my whole car & requested my rear windows to be tinted with Vkool 40.

When I got the receipt, the other tints were written as Vkool Auto Film, but for Vkool 40 it was stated as Vkool Super 40 Film.
I ask the person why is it not Auto Film like the others, but he told me it's the same & there's no security film on the whole car as I didn't want any security tint.
I didn't check the car or ask further since he seem quite sincere about it.

Later on when my bro check my car, he asked me why this one particular rear window is put with the sticker "V Safety" compared to the other windows "V-Kool". My heart sank as I paid a huge amount for the car tint.

Wanna ask, do those little stickers that they stick justify what film they put on? Was I being cheated or it's normal? cry.gif

Surprise surprise. I've encountered something similar before. You really can't tell tbh. And despite my feedback/complaint, there was never any follow-up from the hq.. Tint business is lucrative.
