Same here, I did my car  Llumar Diamond 6, but only side window, front and rear windscreen is Llumar Gold.  Wonder why ?

Edit:  I was told if Diamond 6 is used at front and rear, it will create a blur vision at night.

Safety film is only for side windows. Front and rear windows do not need safety film - very seldom people smash windscreen anyway. Diamond 6 for the side windows and gold for the front and rear windows - the specs is 99% the same, excluding the safety feature.

Hi wanna get some advice. Anyone has experience with tinting from Raytech Cheras. Recently bought new car, SA has offer with raytech 20% discount. They are offering this solar safety tint RV series. Cant find anything about this series, on their official website not listed. SA said its a deal with their dealership for this series.
Anyone has did tinting with this particular series?

It’s R series - no security, just solar tint https://raytechfilms.com.my/automobile-film.php#rssf

As for recommendations for raytech, bro ry8128 might have something to say about it laugh.gif

Wondering here if solar + security, is Llumar still one of the best? Thinking of tinting like my previous cars, Llumar Diamond 6 for the sides and Gold 60 for the front, back and sunroof.

Was quoted 5k for the BYD Sealion 7

Not sure if it me only but most tint brand nowadays dont "selling" the security factors instead primarily for Heat Rejection, cold factor for the car.

If heat rejection is primarily factor, Vkool tint are the best. But if best bang for RM, 3M Crystalline is also the best. Can ask seller to quote the price and compare.

Noted bro. Vkool have issues with smart tag last time (used it in my City back in 2006). Wondering if its the same with RFID (I put it inside the cabin on the windscreen). Do you know anything about that?

Decided on Llumar Security + Solar Tint. I’ve been using Diamond 6 for my past 2 cars and been happy with it. Changing to Llumar Pinnacle - 4 this round.

Front & Back Pinnacle 50 (VLT55, UVR99, IRR95, TSER50)
Sunroof Pinnacle 35 (VLT38, UVR99, IRR96, TSER55)
Sides Pinnacle 4-50 (VLT55, UVR99, IRR96, TSER51)

Offered RM5k for my BYD Sealion 7. Apparently it comes with JPJ saman warranty - if kena saman JPJ, they will settle the saman laugh.gif Will update with pics when I install it end of the month biggrin.gif

Pinnacle is not security tint right?

If so, curious, because not confident with titanium 8? tongue.gif

Pinnacle has normal & security. The sides are 4mm security. Titanium has lower TSER values though https://llumar.com.my/automotive/ Of coz, this is on paper spec

I see.
Btw you mean 4mil?
It's not exactly 4mm, and it's some weird confusing designation lol
Imagine titanium 8 being 8mm, almost one cm
No way man tongue.gif

Yes I think titanium is performing better than paper specs
But, it's thick lol
You can seriously see (and obviously feel) the thickness at the window edges

=edit=
ok i just googled, and thankfully Llumar got added the micron rating

Tint milmicronmetric
4mil1000.1mm
8mil2000.2mm

Ha3! Yes, 4 mil laugh.gif correct, around 100mic. Paper spec everything sounds good for both. In any case, not sure yet if they need to remove the factory tint for Sealion, or just to the one on top of the factory tint. If need to remove, I'm changing to Pinnacle 15 for the rear & sunroof and Pinnacle-4-35 for the sides.

Looking at Paper specs, this Xpel is even better than Llumar and Huper Optik https://www.pro-xpel.com.my/automotive-window-tint/
