QUOTE(Lord Gitsy @ Mar 3 2016, 10:11 PM) Yes bro, double tint can reduce the heat. The reason is double tint will lower the VLT and make the tint darker. Lower VLT can help reduce the heat, but need to make sure the VLT is compliance JPJ how many % of heat will be reduce when applying tint with TSER above? |

For those who are considering 3M tint, please read my thread below and choose your brand properly. i have been cheated by 3M and their so-called authorized dealer.

QUOTE(shaguarbb @ Nov 29 2016, 02:34 PM) Inconvenience state bro, this is their business. no need to be secretive la. doing business hide here, hide there, cheat here cheat there. You can come over to check if you want but I worry you will go back to shoot them after that... if indeed someone was cheated, let them know so action can be taken against the unscrupulous seller. |

QUOTE(haverkamp @ May 19 2017, 06:16 PM) original 3m tint should come with a E-Warranty document & have 3M water mark on film itself (if i not wrong) no. even if it was listed at the website as authorized installer doesn't mean the installer will be installing the original 3M tint. i was cheated by them.http://solutions.3m.com.my/wps/portal/3M/e...ces/Warranties/ Or you can check the Authorize Installer Dealer Name, http://solutions.3m.com.my/wps/portal/3M/e...me/Contact/WTB/ read here: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=4035234&hl= best part is 3M is not helping out at all. i'd rather go for v-kool for peace of mind. QUOTE(clj @ May 22 2017, 02:28 PM) i got the e warranty and the installer is authorized dealer. my e-warranty card also stated the model of the tint but what was applied on my car was some cheap tint that worth less than RM100. yup, installed by authorized 3M installer. suggest you bring your car to 3M for verification. read below how i was cheated by 3Mbut then all 3m film (crystalline and non crystalline series) also comes with watermark. therefore i would like to double confirm whether the tint is as stated in the e warranty card. anyway, thanks for your feedback https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=4035234&hl= |

QUOTE(longpants @ Jun 19 2017, 01:49 PM) Would like to share with you my experience for 3M tint... are you sure your tint is original 3M tint?Recently, I just installed 3M Crystalline (Front and Back) + 3M Crystalline Scotchfield (Rear).. Front - Crystalline 70 Back - Crystalline Scotchfield 70 Rear - Crystalline Scotchfield 40 Back - Crystalline 40 So far, I can really feel the difference for heat rejection for CR SC 40 but not so for CR 70. When under the hot sun, I can still feel the heat in the driver seat (CR 70) and had to blast the aircond to reduce the heat. But at the back with CR SC 40, the heat rejection is much higher and don't have much burning sensation. Maybe I will need to get some shades at the driver seat to further cut the heat. The current setup was to "comply" with JPJ 70-50-30 regulation. I would have gone for lower VLT or opt for non security tint if it is not for JPJ. But seeing many cars on the road with lower VLT makes me drooool to get a darker tint.. |

QUOTE(TheOnly @ Apr 18 2018, 11:10 PM) Sharing - my car is triple tinted with vkool 1st layer, huper ceramic 2nd, 3m 3rd layer. Are u triple tinted on your front windscreen too? I heard you can’t even double tint it as the vision will become wavy. I have also triple tinted my 4 sides of the windows but skipping the front and back windscreen as I’m worry it would affect my vision.Basically it’s impossible to feel any sort of heat prnetrating through even on a 37c afternoon. My front dashboard, which is black - and its still comfortable enough to put your hand on it even after you have been driving for an hour around. (My other more-legal car which has vkool ONLY - the dashboard was warm) Downside is dashcam video quality are lowered considerably, and nighttime video are just worthless if you want to pick out no.plates. I’m very happy with the triple tint result, it’s reflective metallic black, NOT pure black like those lala car. VLT is 5% all sides, 2.5%back, and 20% front. Having panaromic stitched camera view is a livesafer for low speed manuever on this car. |

QUOTE(bl0om @ Feb 1 2019, 05:29 PM) Hi. Which one more better? Forget about 3M Ebony. Just read what I posted above on the crappy tint. Cannycool Titanium v95 Series at RM650 3M Ebony Series at RM788 Perodua Viva. Open to any brand/shop suggestions. Tight budget. RM800 max Cannycool is in house brand. You also can forget about it. It’s using cheap tint and claim “premium”. You might as well go for RM1xx tint at Fave than paying to Cannycool With your budget I suggest you go to any ecotint centre and check their package that fits your budget. At least it’s reputable and you won’t be ripped off. |

QUOTE(Kr0ll3R @ Nov 21 2022, 05:42 PM) Yes, I do agree on the 3M crystaline heat rejection. Lol. So what if u got e-warranty ? Doesn’t prove it’s original. Probably yours is fake 3M that’s floating on the market. I have my car fully tinted with 3M Crystalline 60 & 40 rest. I can still feel the heat driving in the hot afternoon, worst if you're in a crawling traffic. Have to full blast aircon. I went to 3M after many positive reviews on the Crystalline series. Man, I'm so disappointed. Before anyone question on my 3M film authenticity. Yes, is original. Installed at authorised dealer with e-warranty and has the red/orange reflection water droplet seen on the windows. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...5234&hl=Fake+3m |
