Yes bro, double tint can reduce the heat. The reason is double tint will lower the VLT and make the tint darker. Lower VLT can help reduce the heat, but need to make sure the VLT is compliance JPJ

i got the e warranty and the installer is authorized dealer.
but then all 3m film (crystalline and non crystalline series) also comes with watermark. therefore i would like to double confirm whether the tint is as stated in the e warranty card.

Would like to share with you my experience for 3M tint...

Recently, I just installed 3M Crystalline (Front and Back) + 3M Crystalline Scotchfield (Rear)..

Front - Crystalline 70
Back - Crystalline Scotchfield 70
Rear - Crystalline Scotchfield 40
Back - Crystalline 40

So far, I can really feel the difference for heat rejection for CR SC 40 but not so for CR 70. When under the hot sun, I can still feel the heat in the driver seat (CR 70) and had to blast the aircond to reduce the heat. But at the back with CR SC 40, the heat rejection is much higher and don't have much burning sensation. Maybe I will need to get some shades at the driver seat to further cut the heat.

The current setup was to "comply" with JPJ 70-50-30 regulation. I would have gone for lower VLT or opt for non security tint if it is not for JPJ. But seeing many cars on the road with lower VLT makes me drooool to get a darker tint..

anyone heard of oneworld tint at kepong? are they good? saw their FB all 5/4stars rating. their tints are damn cheap. wondering how come it is so cheap with all the 5stars.  @_@

Sharing - my car is triple tinted with vkool 1st layer, huper ceramic 2nd, 3m 3rd layer.

Basically it’s impossible to feel any sort of heat prnetrating through even on a 37c afternoon. My front dashboard, which is black - and its still comfortable enough to put your hand on it even after you have been driving for an hour around. (My other more-legal car which has vkool ONLY - the dashboard was warm)

Downside is dashcam video quality are lowered considerably, and nighttime video are just worthless if you want to pick out no.plates.

I’m very happy with the triple tint result, it’s reflective metallic black, NOT pure black like those lala car.

VLT is 5% all sides, 2.5%back, and 20% front.
Having panaromic stitched camera view is a livesafer for low speed manuever on this car.

Just went to tint 3m ebony40 for hcity. Dmg 8xx after discount. Satisfied

Yes, I do agree on the 3M crystaline heat rejection.
I have my car fully tinted with 3M Crystalline 60 & 40 rest.
I can still feel the heat driving in the hot afternoon, worst if you're in a crawling traffic. Have to full blast aircon.

I went to 3M after many positive reviews on the Crystalline series.
Man, I'm so disappointed.
