Hi all...my front windscreen got cracked by a rock....currently on raytech cs85

The windscreen company said they can do the insurance claim plus include raytech 80 (I think it's pro Titan series) without extra charge...if I want cs85 then I need to top up..

Are there a lot of diff between pro Titan 80 and cs85 ? Most importantly complaint with jpg....Many thanks

Using Raytech Ultra 70 on the FWS as well, no issues with Smart Tag while mounted on the windscreen or holding it near the steering wheel. My Smart Tag is the older big bulky model.

thanks for the feedbac...mine having problems when holding near the steering..will try next putting in the middle and see

Using the same film and am having a bit of an issue sometimes. What I did to minimise this was to drive slowly in the smart tag lane.
*
Today...I failed the smart tag 3 out of 3 times....so far I have not even once passed thru with smart tag...I have gone until almost at a standstill with my tag in the middle of the fws

Decided to come back to raytech HQ to complain on the "hazy effect" and smart tag problem...they now replacing
The film for me without questions asked. I did show them the blurry effect though.

Let's see how it goes after the replacement.. However there is one thing I need to compliment them...the level of pofessionalism in customer service is excellent.

No excuses given..no denial and immediately offered to replace the film (in progress as i m typing now)in fact I suggested to go back to my previous cs85 to save me fr any hassle in case I need to come again.

They have actually suggested to give ultra 70 another try instead of downgrading to back to cs85.
Well done Raytech! Fingers crossed now

Updated 9.55pm : tint replaced...no more issues with blurry effct and smart tag smile.gif

Ok guys. My cs 5 did the tint on cheras raytech. Called up sean a couple of times. Very patient on my ques,

I did ultra 70 on front and cencurion 4m on sides. So far quite satisfy with the heat resistance. I dont use smart tag so i dont giv a shxx on that.thumb up for raytech if u  opt for higher end tint.

My sa in cheras is ah may, very friendly. After install the tint and they realize that i hav changed my plate num, while my glass remain the old number, they are very kind on helping me to touch out the old number without extra cost.

Yea...been using my Ultra 70 for a week now...i can really feel the diff compared to my previous CS85 (i think they pair the front with N85)

are you on Ultra 70 Grey or Gold? mine was intially Grey, but it was blurry and smart tag didnt go thru, so changed to Gold, now it's just perfectttttt...

lastly, any blurry effect on ur ultra 70 ?

Ive been using Llumar Diamond 6 high grade security tint on my F10 LCI since Dec 2015. Now just installed my wife's Civic for RM2,800 at Regal Valet, Jalan Damansara near TTDI, KL.

VLT - 63%
TSER - 59%
IRR - 97%
Break strength - 181Ib/inch
Thickness - 6mil (150micron)
Warranty - 10 yrs
Color - greenish

Its JPJ compliant and no issue with SmartTags unlike 3M tints.

The best tints are those with high VLT and high IRR. In our climate we need IRR min 95% if not it will still be warm inside.

Also if ure choosing security tints, the break strength is very important. Not so much the thickness. Some tints have same 6mil thickness but their break strength is low.

And don't forget there are many tint applicators who buy the tints separately and provide you with shop warranty. Always insist on full manufacturer warranties e.g warranty card must be from the official manufacturer not the shop it self.

i m considering this vs Huper Optik too...so based on your reviews...this is good?

Hi guys, I am using Raytech U70 for FWS.

All tolls are okay for me other than the KESAS Kewajipan/Summit part.

The mentioned TOLL i have stucked many times and tried many different method, put on top windscreen stick to glass and  less than 5km/h, all didnt work.

The only way is to wind down window and flash to the reader or touch & go when prompted. This is very bad experience and get horned and get middle finger.

Can anyone else tell me if you have issue with the toll when using Raytech U70 or Vkool or other brands with the KESAS tolls?

2 years back ,I had U70 (blueish version) installed on my fws... The reflection was bad , a bit blurrish and smart tag just couldn't go thru.. I went back to RayTech. They offered to change for me and U70 actually came with another color which is slightly goldish..
After replacing it with the goldish U70, everything is great, clearer view, smart tag no issues and my U70 is performing very well.. Only set back is , it has the goldish reflection when seen from outside.. Fortunately so far I haven't been stopped by jpj or police .. Hope my feedback helps

Thanks for your information bro! Seems good with that, is the golden tint still considered as U70 and same specification with the U70? I hardly see that 1 pecific tint have more than 2-3 color options. Is the heat resistance the same?  thumbup.gif
*
yea raytech told me same spec and they issued a new warranty card which is also written as U70...so i assume it is..
Performance wise, it's still pretty good.

but i would suggest u try the Bluish one first (better color) but for me, my smart tag didnt work, the tint was blur maybe due to bad installation or so...i am not sure but they changed it and it was good after that ....

The only thing about U70 that i dont like is, the reflection is quite bad...others, its just perfect

in terms of customer service, i would say, its excellent...thats my comments and hope it helps smile.gif

Just sharing my experience after I got my X70 tinted with IrisPro last week.

Initial plan was to tint FWS : Elite & Others with Titanium
Changed my my mind to tint all with Titanium. reason being is , Elite has a blue hue from inside, which I don't like due to the 100% UV blocking feature

Overall after a week and my car is parked at uncovered carpark during work under the sun. I must say, it performs quite well. It used to be hot like sauna when leave work, but now, its just slight warm when i collect my car...and it cools down pretty fast

p/s : My can came installed with llumar...hence i can really feel the difference

That's all

Just wanted to ask, even with the BEST tint, VKool or whatever super best. Let's say if you park in open air from morning till 2pm under Hot Sun, say about 30c and above.

When you get into the car, does it feel warm and hot (not the extreme hot but just warm)? Or it doesnt?

Thanks in advance smile.gif
